Montana 700 - How To Use Course Planner

If you're an outdoor enthusiast, you'll love the recent firmware update to the Montana 700 series. One of the most exciting additions is the Course Planner feature, which allows you to create and edit courses on the device itself or in Garmin Explore. It's worth noting that there is no real difference between a route and a course, except that courses use the FIT file format while routes use GPX.

What's the difference between a course and a route?

The only difference I’ve been able to see is that unlike a route, a course is in the FIT format and you are able to edit it as a straight line or draw a path/snap to a trail

I find it utterly anoying how Garmin engineers will overcomplicate a GPS device to the point I need 26 videos just to be able to barely use this overpriced POS... Is there a way to input an address instead of having to guess where in the world I want to go?
