What's the difference between a course and a route?

The only difference I’ve been able to see is that unlike a route, a course is in the FIT format and you are able to edit it as a straight line or draw a path/snap to a trail

I find it utterly anoying how Garmin engineers will overcomplicate a GPS device to the point I need 26 videos just to be able to barely use this overpriced POS... Is there a way to input an address instead of having to guess where in the world I want to go?

I may would watch more and maybe sucscribe....... If You would get rid of that LOUD ANNOYING BEAR GROWL at the beginning of Your garmin videos.......... My speakers an ears can only take so much.... Only My Opinion.
