I bought the Garmin 66SR when it came out. I wanted the Montana but ultimately chose the smaller 66SR due to it being more accurate and a smaller form factor. Once I really started using it I wish I had a touch screen and a larger overall format. So I waited. I checked on the 9th and signed up for email confirmation on the release. When released I purchased. However, I’ve read a lot of negative reviews on the 700, 700i, 750i. Have they fixed that in the 760i? Besides the memory size difference and the charging port, have they changed anything else hardware related? Are all the kinks worked out of the previous generation Montana?

It is hard to say anything at this time. to date walked for 20 hours with a new Montana 710 and it has performed impeccable. Only time will tell, I personally believe the increase in memory is the solution, and we all overlook it as it is not very sexy. First 'walk and talk' on the Montana 710 out on Wednesday and you will see I pushed the unit in some extreme conditions. I hope this helps.
