It has now been confirmed that former Love Island contestant Mike Thalassitis took his own life this weekend, aged 26. News of his passing has sent shockwaves across the nation, but sadly male suicide is all too common and has become the biggest killer of men under the age of 45 in the UK. His untimely death serves as a stark reminder why men need to open up about their mental health, a subject highlighted with our campaign, Project 84. Joining us to remember her friend is Mike’s Love Island co-star, Montana Brown, alongside CEO of CALM, Simon Gunning.

@roising.3221 because his actual friends, people he grew with have said it...."why would the morning show call her to speak about mike and none of his closest friends" and they said its because they wouldnt have even gone on there because of how devastated they were from losing mike. Her friends and family were shocked to see her talk about how close she was with him....its FAKE because she never once checked his family and doesn't to this day. I know all of this because im from his neighbourhood i didnt know him but he was just around when he was playing football
