To everything, there is a season. Be still and wait and pay attention to your surroundings. This too shall pass. Don't be in a hurry to do THINGS. God will let you know when it is time for you to leave your rest season.

Your feet take a long time to heal and with all the screws and pins in your feet, let them heal. Tissues from your feet have to wrap around all the hardware to make it very stable. I broke both of my feet before so I know what it's like. I tried rushing on by about 3 weeks and it cost my another 4 weeks because I got in to much of a hurry thinking I knew better than the doctor. Please pay attention to what he says. You'll also probably be in therapy after to help you with walking and balance because you equilibrium is off from not standing for so long. Good luck and God Blessings

Priscilla I’m so glad you spoke up and said absolutely Not you’re not going up on a roof & work! 😂 He’s tying to recover too fast & that was a horrible idea & Priscilla I'm glad you laid the ABSOLUTELY NOT LAW down to him with your gavel 👩🏻‍⚖️!! I’m a man too & I know how hard headed we can be sometimes & not always thinking logical. But one fall on them feet again and you may not even be able to walk again my friend! Listen to your wife she’s definitely looking out for your best interest right now. Just keep doing things around the house, get your exercise and listen to your feet when they. Start to hurt go lay down and elevate them or soak in a hot tub. The worst thing you can do right now is hinder the healing process! Trust me I was in physical therapy for almost 2 years learning how to walk again from a broken Neck & broken back from a runaway wheel 130 mph through the windshield of my tractor trailer. God was Gracious to send a Angel to turn that wheel off that car from hitting me square in the face in June of 2006. I owe it all to the Lord ✝️ for telling Satan he couldn’t take me out that way that he’d take me to heaven in his own time in his own way. So healing takes time brother don’t rush it and God will heal you and put U back on your feet in his time not yours and not before he wants you back to work. Keep praying and keep your faith and the lord will surprise you one day. But whether he restores you in 3 months or 3 years like he did me just be thankful and grateful that you’re still With your family. Brother Miller don’t rush your recovery it’s in the lords hands & You as well as anyone knows God does things in his Time. Although we may not understand why he’s not rushing things for you, Think about the Song ...” .Farther Along” we’ll understand it in the sweet by and by. Also in closing I’m Praying 🙏🏼 For ya brother. When you get over anxious and think crazy things like climbing on a roof or doing things way too fast before you’re healed back up....Remember the Bible verse...(Quote) Be Still and Know I’m God. PS: When you get to where you can work again Joas for Pete’s Sake and for Feet’s Sake (no pun intended) stay on the ground level. One more fall on them feet like that again and you very well could be pushing 2 wheels as you sit the rest of your life. Think about that ! Ur family needs you on your feet brother, Leave the roof work and being up high off the ground work for the young men. Your not a spring chicken anymore brother. Listen to God when he says: Be still and know I’m God.... Because he may be trying to tell you something by allowing you to come to a standstill for a while. He very well may be preparing you for the on the ground job of being the foreman and reading blueprints & telling everyone else what to do & how to do it. Everything happens for a reason in God’s universe brother. God Bless you Miller Family.

As a former orthopedic nurse, I will tell you will be glad you did. Prayers for God's gift of patience for you. I know it must be hard as you take your role as the head of your family very seriously and that hasn't changed you still are and your children will learn from you the way you have handled this season of life. This might sound hard, but maybe it’s time for Joas to look after another (temporary) job in a different domain where he will not need to walk or climb, so that he can recover fully. Think of a plan B with a recovery that can take up to a year. Even then God is still gracious to preserve life. Wishing you all the best, and know that your videos give hope and strength and so much beauty and enjoyment to so many people around the world. Thank you for sharing.

Remember that the Tylenol or Ibuprofen not only help with pain but also with the inflammation. So even if you can bear the pain it might benefit you to take the med 2x a day to help with the inflammation. You are one tough cookie to be up and about as much as you are. The fact you help not only with schooling but also with cooking is awesome. Both of you are great parents raising confident intelligent children. TY for sharing so much. The surgeon will not be able to repair it again. You were fortunate to find someone with such skill who clearly knows what he is talking about. Rushing it now will affect the rest of your life. I have a friend whose Alexander technique skills helped lots of people heal and get mobile, but after a severe fall on to his hip that traumatised it he carried on and is now permanently on crutches with pain whenever he walks. Think of the hunting and treks you love that may be possible if you take your time now. I am sure Wyatt is looking forward to having hunting adventures in a couple of years. Good luck slowing him down Priscilla!.🙂

Still praying for your healing, Joas....and I see your attitude about your injury ordeal as a beautiful testimony. You're acceptance for the major interruption in your 'planned' activities is commendable. I can feel your sincerity in following what the Lord has has allowed to be set before you. I have never thought that your life was so full of work that you neglected your family, as I know you have always joyfully enbraced your roll as a father and husband. I'm sure you have done much prayerful talks with the Lord about how this event will bless you. I think it has done a lot to mature the two older boys/young men, in both their independence and work skills...you have been a fine example for them and now they are proving that. All your children will have grown much during this time as they see how they can be of help.

Good to hear you’re healing well. I would strongly encourage you to follow the doctors advice and don’t push putting weight through your feet. I’ve had multiple foot surgeries and when I pushed the boundaries I prolonged the healing and learned the lesson of patience. I know that the time seems long but when thought of across your life span it is a short time. I broke a vertebrae in my back this summer and have had to really cut back on what I do physically. It is not easy but the pain remains me very often to cut back. Going through these experiences teaches me to hold on to God’s strength and love for me. I’m totally dependent on Him to meet my needs.

Another great video, good news on your healing process, it's hard to be patient when you've got so much energy. Doesn't seem like it at the moment but the wait will be worth it. When you were talking about not really pain but discomfort, I totally get that. I was in an accident last year and it put me in a wheelchair for 3 months because of leg injuries. I understand total care and I also will never forget my first shower after the stitches came out at 6 weeks. It will take alittle time for you to walk right but I'm certain you will master it well. Let your body heal, it will but may take months. It's a hard wait but I learned it was a time of waiting on God, easy? No! I am a different person than I was preaccident but I like that person. I still have some discomforts but I've learned how to manage it well. It's a season and you will look back on it as a time of growth and memories. It's also a time measurement, before accident and after accident. You are past the worst, everything else is a forward step, you've got this.

You all keep on going no matter what. Glad you are recovering so well. I know it is hard to be patient, but please take care of yourself, so that you will recover nicely. It looks like you have plenty to do inside, so you shouldn't feel bad that you can't do what you would like to do outside. I am sure Priscilla is glad for all your help inside.

O no you can’t do that , don’t even dream about it. Hey how about going out in the woods with your camera ,there’s so many beautiful animals out there that we would love to see. It makes my heart sing to see the kids go to your appointments with you ,all the kids are right in there helping all they can. I am so glad you are getting better. God bless you all , ❤

My son had titanium screws in his ankle that he broke. He misunderstood the drs instructions and started walking on it too soon. The screws broke in there and it does damage when he runs or exerts himself. This happened years ago. He has an extremely high pain tolerance so he just keeps doing most everything anyway.
