Excellent video. I really like hearing from the farmers who have made it work. We used to raise beets in my area until the sugar factory closed in the late 70’s. Beets is one of those crops that I never would have thought would lend themselves to no-till, but these guys are doing it. I am in the experiment phase of no-till on my farm and feel like I am the only one trying it with everyone watching for me to have a failure. Probably not true but that is the way it feels. I really like how much less tractor work there is and my dad who is a die hard plow man really notices the difference too. He all but goes to the neighbors asking for work. Anyway, keep up the good work. This video gives me courage.

Thank you for the feedback, Morgan! Making different management decisions can definitely be daunting. As these videos show, there are other folks out there making big changes and finding success. Often, if you can make time to attend no-till, soil health, or other workshops, you'll find other producers trying the same practices you are. You may want to talk to your local Conservation District or NRCS office for more information about optimizing your results with new practices while reducing risk. Good luck!

It’s very cool technology . My first year I rent a land near urals in russia that has never been treated , I spent a lot on tilling and less on fertilizer , I planted Strube korolev 3d fast and sugar hybrid but it’s tolerated to root rots , I won war with other plants but now rots are developing that is such a hard crop - sugar beet especially for newcomers

This reminds me of the similar befits of the Ruth Stout method.
