Montane Trailblazer LT 28 1 year review

Have bought couple of entry level backpacks of different sizes this year and the main issue I can see compared to this one is ease of access to the pockets. The ones I have do not have the pockets on the straps so to access anything you have to take the backpack off. At the moment I am still in the beginner stage so will put up with my heavier/cheaper products but do plan to start replacing kit slowly with products that fix the main issues I have with them. Your reviews are perfect for this.

@@henworth thanks, appreciate the kind words. The pockets being so accessible on this bag and the shoulder strap pockets in particular have been a game changer for my day hikes. Just suits me perfectly.

Cheers Kev looks a cracking bag unfortunately i'm obsessed with military surplus bags and have way more then i can ever use but there's allways another one out there that i don't have 😊 love the chanell 👍

Great piece of kit. I’ve got an Osprey with a frame that shows the air to flow through to save sweating. I love the fact that you can grab the drink bottle as I find that such a pain with mine. I loved Montane and find their kit to what’s be quality. I’ve got a cold weather jacket (2024 model) of theirs I bought which I’ll review when it’s colder.

Hi Mr. Kev, It seems this backpack provide quite great shoulder pad support ? with neat little pockets and double strap. No feeling hurting. Tbf this is a very well featured!good quality bag that represents excellent value for money when compared to ultralight backpacks from other well known brands that can cost double or triple the amount. In my personal experience, walking with a backpack in warm clammy weather always causes my lower back to sweat wether I wear a pack against my back or an airframed pack (which causes less persperation, but still happens).

I've seen this on sale for less than £60. It's great value. Been using it on some long day hikes lately and it's been perfect.
