I've bought UL gear from ALL high end brands and Montbell is just above and beyond! Everything they make is better designed and better materials than any of the high end competition. They care about the smallest details and please a OCD nrd like myself like no one else can! Just something about Japan and everything they make is on a higher level as the rest of the world!

Somewhere you need to compensate your le creuset cook gear. inov8 ultrapant. 3 oz, cost nothing, much sturdier than froggtoggs. And I suggest clenbuterol :-)

im lucky enough to live in japan, and there are some off the wall products in the mont bell stores here. stuff that only the locals would consider using. the freeze dried ramen pods are off the chain here though. no top ramen, but no shit nissen cup noodles in a tiny package. no cup. It is funny though to see day hilers decked out like they a summiting everest though. they go all out on gear. its not strange to see snow gaiters being used on a paved trail along with a 80L pack. cant forget those little annoying bells on everything too. seems like every appendage requires a bell here.
