Congratulations! I have two MB 3-42 Gs. One is an earlier model with only the contour of the snowcap (no white filling) and the other one is a late model with a smaller white snowcap. I think your pen is correct without white filling in snowcap. The later models have the model number on the gold Ring on the cap instead of the turning knob on the barrel. The 3-42s with gold nibs have a lot of flex.
