I once heard an interview of a Hollywood producer (I don't remember who but he is a famous producer -I wish I had memrized his name) who said of Nicole Kidman that she is not naturally as talented as some other ones but she is extremely hard worker and disciplined. He said that he has worked with actors/actresses who were extremely talented but working with them was very hard and he refuses to sign them up again because they only relied on their talent without working hard or discipline which a lot of time resulted in them not remembering their lines, being late on the set or acting up (as in being a diva). Even though I am not anywhere near creative world I have tried to remember these words and apply them to my daily life.

Playing dress up, taking appointment time from a bride in serious pursuit of a dress, being rude to the salon staff...what a spoiled, immature, brat. Those dresses are heavy and require WORK to present, help the bride dress, and then rehang in their bags and correctly "file" in the store. I commend Monte for not asking her to leave. (Although I am surprised that he engaged in banter with bridezilla.) The bride needs to learn some manners, get over her inflated opinion of herself, and maybe order her dress on-line. I would not reappoint her if it were my salon. Impossible to believe that her mother would partake and support this. TV trash.

I think that's why the dresses are so expensive. You're paying not only for the customaisation of the dress but also a percentage extra that is there to pay the store and the consultants for their time in helping you. So, yeah it might result in a few brides who walk away from an appointment after playing a day of dress up. But most brides are not like that and it isn't fair to charge just to look for dresses when most are looking to buy.

I understand the bride might rub people the wrong way, but Lori is right: Monte needed to take a step back and accept what the bride wanted. She was ok with being tacky, she was owning it and Monte's attitude wasn't helping. I think it led to her being more defensive and pushing against that, making things worse. Edit to add: I spent many years working with actors, performers and "big personalities" so I understand that rebellious "You don't like me so I'll be MORE ME than I normally am". When you simply "go with it" , that type of person often turns out to be a good person as well as a fiercely loyal friend. Also, I think she would have looked perfect in a tea-length dress with the birdcage, then bedazzled it all with the chunky bling she wanted. It's her style, she has to like it not us.

The first dress was cute but looked like a Disney costume, the second dress was just a bunch of tennis skirts sewn together. The third one was a hideous halloween costume. The fourth one was OK I guess and the one with the ruching was probably the best. I think she went on this show to gain exposure.
