Bro I just found your channel and I’m glad I did. Sangsters international airport have a special place in my heart, my dad was a tour bus driver for years and when I was a kid in the 80s we spent many nights at that airport waiting for a delayed flights with tourist.

Thanks for watching , quite hard to say with this pandemic being the schedule buster it has being but remember the works we are seeing now is the enabling works, these works are necessary to free up the land space needed for the true expansion works to begin as these lands at present have active roadways

Nice vid wish Norman Manley int airport would expand their concourse example make a dual gate for the BA 777s Flights that come here because one Jetbridge for so many passengers going in and out is constantly going to make it cramped

I wondered why that location was specifically used for the new ATC...considering all that land in that area.....if they wanted to expand the terminal/ gate concourse to the east....the tower in that location might prove to be a problem.
@1STEWY3 жыл бұрын
I thought the same thing Wade,then I asked myself where else could it go , best answer it could be integrated into the new terminals if and when they come
@wadew40913 жыл бұрын
@@1STEWY If they build a whole new terminal I would be stunned 😲 considering the traffic doesn't currently warrant it. I could see them adding more gates though....just not sure where? 🤔 What I find interesting ( I travel for work) one island I go to regularly is DR...and it doesn't matter what time of day...3am ....noon....midnight....late evening etc.... their major airports are always busy.... whether it's sdq, puj, sti....sometimes I wonder if mbj or kin will see that much traffic throughout the day.

Everytime I'm at work the idea comes to mind the atc tower bothers me alot ......lots of land space on the other side to expand the terminal
@kevinstewart53843 жыл бұрын
Watching this the 2nd time the new tower is small compared to the modern one

What happens to the other JDF base that's on the other side of the runway ?
@1STEWY3 жыл бұрын
That is the one that has been relocated to the other side Wayne
@waynemcfarlane12333 жыл бұрын
I just got some information from my friend from the JDF. He said they relocated it because that base was too small and the structure was wood.
