There's such a wealth of information in all of these videos. I have a dream to go to Italy & when I have the money saved I will go from north to south, stopping at an Agriturismo in Montepulciano area. I think Tuscany will be one of my favourite stops.

Visited, quickly, Banfi winery in January 2015. Now I have to go back during the summer/fall months! It was breathtakingly beautiful in the winter with no vegetation. I can only imagine with the vines full with grapes!

Probably should have mentioned that "Vino Nobile de Montepulciano" is NOT the Montepulciano grape...This wine is actually made from Sangiovese. Both pair well with red meat though.

Brising Conan well - you can always ask for a more cooked version, but Rick is accurate : that's the typical cooking you get *there* if you don't specify otherwise; to me it doesn't really taste raw but ymmv. But, please consider that the traditional Fiorentina cut is usually very thick (as in the video) so it can bedifficult to get both a tender meat and a uniform cooking as "well done" Keep in kind that the assumed cooking level varies a bit from region to region (Italian here); if you like meat in a specific way, it's advisable to specify. Just for curiosity: it's very uncommon to eat raw meat in Italy (I'm aware of only 2-3 exceptions), definitely it's not my thing, but for example in Japan there are types of "beef sashimi" or "horse sashimi" (I don't remember the correct name sorry) that are highly regarded as a treat for the glutton. "il mondo è bello perché è vario" 😊 (the world is beautiful because it's varied/variegated)

Sometimes we eat it raw. It is called "steak tartare" in France. check it out, if done right it is downright delicious.
