Adorable 🥰 For the outlet cover, perhaps you could try a short extension cord. The regular plug of the extension cord should fit in the baby proof outlet box and then you could tuck the extension part behind the dresser. Hope that helps!

This. This is all you can do unless you want to swap the Hatch with something else in the room that has a cord that will fit. That's what I ended up doing in may girl's room.

I'm so impressed with your calm, easygoing mothering! Honestly, I hadn't really thought about introducing neatness and helpfulness at a young age until I saw how you are doing it. My two older kids can be quite helpful or not depending on their mood, so I kind of wish I would have been a little more persistent and willing to experiment when they were toddlers. I don't think I even knew what Montessori was. I started watching your videos before your little one was born and loved how you just seemed to embrace every season you are in. I was pregnant the same time you were and was able to home birth my littlest guy in May of last year. I live in Minnesota too and love eating healthy, so I can relate to so many things you discuss!

This is so amazing to me! My son is 18 months and I really love the bed idea. For a while my husband was working on our master bedroom floor so we had the mattress down in a separate room and my son was sleeping so well. He did not needed any help getting in or out the mattress, also at that time he hadn't had a crib yet because we recently moved. Fast forward to now... he has a crib and is hell getting him to sleep over night in it. I want to set up a room for him but at this time it's a bit difficult with the covid 19 situation.... I think will get around that project by the time he's 2 and half or 3.🤷🏻♀️

Same! It's was hard to find a budget friendly option. We settled on the Cypress Bamboo Gel Mattress 11" by Brentwood Home. Here's an affiliate link for 15% off if interested: refer.brentwoodhome.com/s/Kitty7 (I bought the mattress myself. Was not a gift. I've worked with them in the past and genuinely love their products!) As I mentioned the mattress is thick and I wouldn't recommend for babies or young kids. I had to teach Harriet how to get in and out of the bed for a few days.

This is amazing!!! ❤️❤️❤️ No judgement here, but may I ask where then does she sleep at night if not on her bed? For this reason, if you could go back, would you have waited for the floor bed, or do you have a different reason why you would still encourage this? My lo is almost 16mo, n she naps/sleeps in her crib in her own room great. We did go for a vacation a few weeks ago where (long story short) she slept on a mattress on the carpet in the nook closet (sharing bedroom with us, we stayed at Vrbo), n did well the first night. So this made us think/wonder if she’s ready for a Montessori floor bed. Unfortunately, the second day we tried this again, she kept getting up during her nap to walk to our bed, woke up an hour earlier than her usual wake time n walked to our bed; so with that said, she’s back in her crib since then. I do like the idea that she can learn how to be independent, but on the other hand, I still like my sleep 😜

Aww I love her room! Love the simplicity. I am currently looking to transition my 19 month old sons room to more of a toddler room. His changing table currently has drawers too but more like bins. Does she ever open the drawers or try to get into her diaper bin? I'm trying to figure out what to remove. I usually see that most will keep just toys and books but my son still wears diapers. I love your ideas btw.

You was opening her dresser drawers for her clothes. That's when I knew she was interested in having access to that, but I wanted something that was smaller for her. There are locks on the Ubbi diaper bins that prevent her from opening the top.

Hi from İzmir in Turkey. We watched your video with my wife. We will have baby after about three and half months. Your baby almost never got off while you were filming video. She was only interested in the book. She did not bother you at all and come to you and ask your camera. She also never cry until 10 munites. I am very curies how your behaves this way? Babies in our country are generally watching something on tablet computer or T.V. Many children can't stand without tablets. Also many parents says that their children can't stand without tablets or mobile phone. İ have a few questions. How bed did you use when your baby was newborn? When did your baby go to her room and how did you decided that? How old your baby when you began to use montessori? İ hope you have time to answer my all questions. Thank you well..

Thank you for sharing her beautiful room!! Harriet is such a lucky little lady to have an amazing bedroom like that! Random question, I noticed that you put the Dohm sound machine away and instead had the Hatch sound machine out. Is there a reason why you are using the Hatch over the Dohm? I'm trying to purchase one or the other and was wondering what your thoughts were on the two.

Don't understand why it's an issue having children in the bed. Why have them if you don't want to treasure their company? It's like having a dog and keeping it in the garden all day. Bizarre. One morning, you will realise that that was the last time they voluntarily snuggled in and it will be a wrench (you'll even miss their foot in your face or the limbs out in a starfish). People, just enjoy the precious moments when they're little. They'll soon be ignoring you in their teens!
