Montessori Sensitive Periods

Montessori sensitive periods refer to a period of time when a child's interest is focused on developing a particular skill, trait or concepts 💟
The term Sensitive Period was first used by Hugo de Vries a Dutch Biologist and was later adopted by Maria Montessori.

Maria Montessori observed whilst working with children that they display an intense desire which was unplanned and natural, an ability to acquire certain skills and functions which later disappear when acquired and replaced by a special responsiveness towards another skill, trait or concepts.
