I can't help but comment again after seeing everyone say rest in peace but anyone that has been listening to Montgomery Gentry knows that Troy wasn't the type of person to believe that this was the end, in his eyes this was just another chapter in his life to him and I can't be the only one to believe that he thought this way. You will be missed T-Roy and again Rest in paradise.

Having met T-Roy several times since they first started MG, this song is the epitome of what this young man became. My heart breaks for Eddie, Bo, Frank, Jimma and the rest of the MG family. But, T-Roy has left a legacy of the "Better Me" he became. Sing with the angels, my brother and friend.

This song brought tears to my eyes at the end of a very emotional, meaningful service for Troy Gentry. We're all entitled to our own opinions but, personally, I'm somewhat less than perfect. As religion has come into my life I have prayed to G-d every single morning to please help me be a better me than I was the day before and a better me tomorrow than I am today. That was before I ever heard this most beautiful, heartfelt song and why it will always mean so much to me. My heart goes out to Troy's wife, daughters, Eddie, band members, and others he left behind. Your "Friends" will never forget you. RIP T-Roy!

I've never had a song stir up so many emotions as this. I heard it during his memorial and listened to every second with undivided attention. It makes me angry. It makes me want to love everyone more. It makes me proud. It makes me happy to be here. It makes me miss a friend I never had. T-Roy, we're all missing you down here. Too soon, unfair, but damn were we lucky to have you around no matter how short. Life goes on; always keep working to better everything, you don't know how long it'll keep going on.

Once everything is said and done, that is how we will be remembered by those that liked, admired, loved us or other wise. His legacy lives on for fans, through his music. For his family, it is his children and the memories. Our biggest legacies of this world come from the lives we touch while on the journey.
