If this was yalls introduction to Montgomery Gentry I'd suggest "Hell Yeah", "Gone", "Something To Be Proud Of", "Speed", "If You Ever Stop Loving Me". Anything by Eddie and Troy is/was amazing. Sadly Troy died in a helicopter crash in 2017.

Troy "T-Roy" Gentry was a huge part of that group, great vocals. I like how Eddie Montgomery still carries the Montgomery Gentry name and the band members sing T-Roys parts. R.I.P. T-Roy

Back in the day my friend who was already a huge Montgomery Gentry fan, even tho they were just starting out, invited me to go see them with her. I bought the cassette tape (yup that long ago) and loved it. We were pretty close to the stage and Montgomery had a habit of holding the mic stand and swinging it. The mic accidentally hit the top of my head and I could tell he felt sorry cos he thought he hurt me. I had so much product in my hair, i'm surprised I didn't break his mic. He tried to pull me on stage but I wasn't having any of that!! A good time had by all and I became a MG fan that night 🎶🎵

Eddie Montgomery and Troy Gentry (RIP) were and are some of the nicest guys. Spent a little time with them and made me feel like I was a good old friend they knew all their life. John Michael Montgomery is Eddie's younger brother and also played with them in the beginning of the band. Great reaction and love you guys ❤️.

Oh my gosh, this is MY SONG! A little town in Wisconsin called Sussex, population less than 1000, had a diner called the M&M Restaurant,(now "The Kitchen") and instead of a mill we had a canning factory! They closed it and put up condos , and called it Mammoth Springs condos after the name of the cannery. I even got mad at MY old man, and it came to blows!! Yep, that's where all MY yesterdays are, and this is one of my all time favorite country songs!

"My Town" is a song written by Reed Nielsen and Jeffrey Steele and recorded by American country music duo Montgomery Gentry. It was released in June 2002 as the lead-off single and title track to their album of the same name. It peaked on the U.S. country chart at #5 and also peaked at #40 on the Billboard Hot 100, making it one of their highest peaking crossover singles. After the death of member Troy Gentry, Eddie Montgomery, the other member of the duo, sang the song with Dierks Bentley and Rascal Flatts as a tribute during the 51st Annual Country Music Association Awards on November 8, 2017. A great rabbit hole. Tragically, Troy Gentry (Veteran) is no longer with us. He was killed in a helicopter crash. Eddie Montgomery(with a hat) is country artist John Michael Montgomery’s brother. Their videos are very powerful. Asia would love - She Couldn’t Change Me

I grew up on Montgomery Gentry as my favorite country band that I still listen to even tho im a metal head today Troy Gentry the younger singer died in 2017 because of a helicopter crash he was the only musician celebrity or famous person that has died I weeped like he was a family member because of how much I connected with that band even when I listen to their older music It brings a tear to my eye.

Folks who grow up in the country or small towns have deep sense of roots and home. No matter where you live or move to that one place is the only place you ever call home. Honestly I always felt sorry for kids that didn't grow up with that sense of home and the feeling there was always one place they could go home to.

A good one by them is "Daddy won't sell the farm." I have watched the city grow around me...like ridiculously fast...then I moved a few cities over when I got married...right into a tourist town next to a prestigious university(it gets real busy at certain times.) I am lucky to be in a good neighborhood where I know almost everyone. We are still thinking about moving to the country though. We just can't go too far or the parents will get a bit upset. When I sell my other house, I am going to be looking. My wife wants the mountains, and I want Carolina.
Yeah girl!!! We’re not in their town. It reminds us all of our towns 🙏🏽
