Our father was in the army and two of our great grandfathers we're firefighters at the same station my brother was at. The fire EMS family is truly something amazing to behold. This is a fine song and my favorite of Montgomery Gentry's. It relates so well to that post-breakup feeling almost everybody has known. I was fortunate to spend a little time in Tennessee a few years back with one of the writers, Chris Wallin. A genuine and personable guy who's written or co-written a number of excellent songs. He even played it for us along with a couple other of his songs. A real thrill to have had that experience.

I can't believe I only got to see them once. Had pneumonia and refused to go to the hospital because we had meet and greet passes. I've loved them since day one.
