to me this song is about a car not a girl ... 66 toranado . the front fenders looked like torpedoes and the rear of the car fell off to nothing , in it's day it was aerodynamic without meaning to or even knowing it , but i loved it , did a frame up rebuild over time and it was my best hobby , the wife is still jealous after 25years , hehe

Someone bitched an moaned because they took a song that was Kenny's Chess. And redone it I don't know if it was for word for word but that's just it,every country singer has done it and made it there own and this Band made you lots of times FEEL the song just the way they sing it and move to it..I hate that people all they want to do is bitch an moan about something like this boys that can sing there heart out!! Just like the whole story with the Bear Troy killed it was "so big" I didn't even know Troy killed a bear til after he passed away I mean seriously that's what we as Human Beings do when a person dies is bad mouth them its sad that's part of the reason this Country is going down the drain people don't care and are heartless that they NEED to get God in there life in a hurry also because you don't know when its your time to go home or to hell if you don't believe and don't start acting like a Human Being and stop bitching and moaning and bad mouthing good people that are no longer here !!! Yea it was a sad thing Troy did am I behind hind killing tame animals hell no but hell those kinds of people that are bitching an moaning and bad mouthing Troy for what he did in his past and for killing a bear probably don't want even deer killed !!! And I believe he might had done the bear a favor BEARS are NOT made to be tamed they have a wild side do I believe for 1 second a BEAR can be really Tame Hell No they aren't friendly animals for crying out loud and people need to get that through there damn head !!! We all have a past we wish we could change but we CAN'T nobody can but only God/Jesus !!!

This is a fine song and my favorite of Montgomery Gentry's. It relates so well to that post-breakup feeling almost everybody has known. I was fortunate to spend a little time in Tennessee a few years back with one of the writers, Chris Wallin. A genuine and personable guy who's written or co-written a number of excellent songs. He even played it for us along with a couple other of his songs. A real thrill to have had that experience.

I can't believe I only got to see them once. Had pneumonia and refused to go to the hospital because we had meet and greet passes. I've loved them since day one. Their respect for Dale Earnhardt and his death simply endeared them to me more. They both had threes on them somewhere that day. They have been the soundtrack to so much of my life. RIP T- Roy.

Such a great duo. They were one of the first groups I listened to when getting into Country. Rest in Peace Troy. Forever missed.
