I absolutely understand that feeling of all or nothing in language learning. It usually leads to me entirely avoiding doing the things I like (reading, podcasts, KZbin, etc) even in English. I was just on a stressful visit to my in-laws and only brought Spanish books, so I basically didn't read for two weeks because Spanish was too much. I made a note for next time to bring English books.

yes! it’s so easy to get into that mindset. a bit of balance does wonders to prevent burnout. hope all is well with the family ♥️

How did I not know this about Google translate?! Thank you! This is going to save me so much time. let’s just say I’m one of those that does not deal well with ambiguity. I have to look up every word that I don’t know but I think I could let it be on a page by page basis. I hope! By the way, you’re a very talented artist.

I'm feeling quite unmotivated at the moment. I'm just having fun by starting to learn Russian and mostly consuming contents and reading books in English (my 2nd language) just for entertainment.
