Classic Dirt Bikes "Balco 500 Triumph Twin Trials Bike"

Something slightly different on my classic dirt bike channel as we take a look at Paul Balsillie's lovely Balco 500 Triumph Trials Bike. This bike was built by Paul and it has a BSA "Otter" frame, a 500cc Triumph twin motor. This bike is also for sale if you are interested and Paul can be contacted on 07901 554666.

The level of detail never ceases to impress me. I think the alloy barrels we standard on the t100 motor. They had steel inserts for the head bolts which you have to be careful not to overtighten. I'm looking very carefully at the British twin powered motocrossers as I find myself with a spare Norton racing engine and gearbox. I fancy building something along the lines of the Rickman Metisse but with the pre unit Norton. If we move to a bigger unit we can concentrate on building our own frames.

Joe Guilfoyle So did I although unfortunately exhibitors were not allowed to start vehicles in the confines of the show grounds, mainly due to the health and safety of visitors with regards pollution and noise.

Yes a beautiful bike but I don't like the exhaust.it will melt the rear mudguard.i would like to know how it sounds. I did something similar many years ago trying to get it quite. But it sounded bad..
