About Alonzo Bodden:
Alonzo, who won Season 3 of NBC’s “Last Comic Standing,” is a regular on NPR’s “Wait Wait…Don’t Tell Me!” and “Comedy Congress.” He’s also a recurring commentator / panelist on “The Young Turks.” His multiple stand-up comedy specials include “Heavy Lightweight” (2019, Amazon Prime), “Historically Incorrect” (2016, Showtime), and “Who’s Paying Attention” (2011, Showtime). Hughley Show.” He annually performs at Just For Laughs comedy festival in Montreal - where he has participated in multiple tv specials, including “Howie Mandel's All-Star Comedy Gala” (2017, 2020) and “Trevor Noah at JFL” (2019). Alonzo is a regular feature at LA’s popular The Laugh Factory comedy club and also frequents popular comedy podcasts, including The Joe Rogan Experience (JRE).
An avid car and motorcycle enthusiast, Alonzo has hosted Speed Channel’s “101 Cars You Must Drive” and Travel Channel’s “America’s Worst Driver.” He’s also appeared on multiple episodes of “Jay Leno’s Garage.”
His TV and film credits include “Fresh Off the Boat,” “Californication,” “Scary Movie 4,” “The Girl Next Door” and “Bringing Down the House,” starring Steve Martin and Queen Latifah.
Alonzo has traveled around the world entertaining USO troops from Iraq to Greenland.

He knows how to read his crowd. Canada is more detached from US politics and overwhelmingly favored Obama and dislikes Trump. This was above all a show for Montreal and not for the US.

​@@sErgEantaEgis12 that's so interesting, because in South Korea they actually favor Trump over Obama. Not that Trump is wildly popular or anything, they still see him as a weirdo with bad hair. It's just that they dislike Obama more than Trump. Obama certainly was photogenic and a smooth talker, but his administration kept trying to lump Japanese and Korean military together, which angered a lot of Koreans. Imperial Japan was literally the Nazis of Asia during WW2 who conducted massacres, human experiments, and other inexplicable crimes against humanity. And because of their bitter history, Koreans refuse to cooperate with the Japanese military. It's like asking Israel to merge forces with Germany basically. When Korean government didn't cooperate, Obama administration heavy heavyhandedly forced South Korea to cooperate with Japan by threatening them with economic sanctions and forcing settlements of Comfort women issues. Obama also ordered plans to merge the Korean navy with the Japanese navy. What pushed things over the edge was when Obama ordered Korea to install a x-band missile system right in the middle of the Korean peninsula, making them a priority target for China and Russian army since this radar was so close to their major military bases and it gave them a critical tactical disadvantage. China even came out and publicly stated in a press briefing that this radar will be their no.1 target should a war erupt. Russian MiGs and Chinese warships were patrolling around the Korean peninsula almost ever week. Not many people in the west know this, but in 2017 the world came very close to a second Korean war. This infuriated the Korean public and basically lead to a nation wide protest, ousting their president Park Geun Hye who had caved to Obama's demands. Unlike Obama, Trump tried negotiating a separate deal between two countries, and even tried negotiating a peace deal with North Korea. This policy was rather refreshing and different. Also, negotiating peace with North Korea gave them hopes of reunifying the two countries again. So even though Trump was a weirdo, Koreans still favored him over Obama. Obama is described as more of a weasel over there, who talked of peace and cooperation in front of cameras but behind closed doors he provoked conflicts and threw Korean people under the bus.

Everything else was good but meaning no disrespect, what racism in America have you experienced? I'm not denying social racism (meaning individuals within a society and racism isn't only whites being racist to blacks btw) exists and if that's what your referencing I'm sorry that happened to you. But systemic racism? that allowed you to become a successful comedian (you have your own Wikipedia page, a distinction reserved for famous and infamous people) in a supposedly racist country? Seems to me your talking about systemic racism which is not a reality in 21st century America. If it was people from African nations wouldn't voluntarily move here as you said.

No I have no experience I’m just gonna make this decision on my own. I mean you have a Wikipedia page. That means racism doesn’t exist right This is so ridiculous it’s almost not worth a reply. When the lives of people who look like me are not valued my life isn’t valued. I’ve had cops point a gun at me for being big. Black people have been successful in business and other fields since slavery ended in the US (Madam C.J. Walker (1867-1915) became the first documented black woman millionaire) but that doesn't mean systemic racism isn't real. The laws themselves aren't racist but their enforcement often is because many people in position of authority or power have a variety of racial biases. People from African nations move voluntarily to North America because a) it's seen as a land of opportunity and b) it's usually an improvement over their home countries, not because it's a racism-free utopia. And black people can't just magically wave their black magic wand to move away. I don't understand what that point is you're trying to make? Why would black people flee at the faintest hint of racism? Maybe they believe they belong in their country and want to see it improved instead of just fucking off at the first inconvenience?
