Two friends and I travelled from the US to Australia. All three of us are from Colorado. While traveling by train from Melbourne to Sydney we went to the "snack" car. As we waited in line, an elderly woman got in line behind us. We immediately asked her to go ahead of us, we were in no hurry. The woman stepped in front of us and said, "you boys are so nice. I traveled around Québec about 2 years ago (My first time in Canada) I was impressed with the elimination of the penny. The US needs to do that. I loved Canada's colorful money too. Friendly people. The funny thing is that every time my father-in-law sees me, he has a new Canadian joke for me lol. My husband says, he wouldn't do that if he didn't like you so now i laugh along eh. No matter what I never lose the accent. I'm from Winnipeg, Manitoba and live in Huntsville, AL. I still visit Winnipeg and my family there. So many people say they love Jim because he's a "clean" comedian, but I don't think that's really the essence of his appeal. I think it's that he's wicked smart behind an unassuming demeanor, part of a long tradition stretching all the way back to Will Rogers. Even Richard Pryor was like this, despite his saltier language--he also projected a a mild, sympathetic, non-aggressive persona. The antithesis of the rockstar, bigger than life presence that so many comics attempt.

allan lanktree I thought I was the only one who knew that phrase. Do you know the Hudson Bay Start? Most groups set out in the early morning to get a good start on the trek. The Bay sent their people out in the afternoon. That way if they found out, while setting up camp that night, they had forgotten anything their running would only be a half day behind to catch up. ❤️🇨🇦

Yep, even in US , youth competitive travel hockey has grown tremendously, our boys played for 10 years all over US, very costly but great family time

Actually, the hockey season generally traverses the seasons of autumn, winter and spring....unless you're a Canadian team, then it ends earlier, unfortunately.

Jim Gaffigan, I love your stand-up but I have to say that your "Let's Get Cooking" and "Mike & Pat Show" segments helped me get through the worst days of the pandemic. It was a great distraction with a good amount of laughs. Cheers.
