There seems to be confusion on what style they are wanting to play. One minute they're dumping it in and hitting low to create an opportunity and the next they're waiting at the red line for the play to come to them. Release the hounds and use the speed you recruited. Normally when you see this kind of confusion it's the coaching staff not making it clear.

They're done like dinner and they shouldn't have made the playoff in the first place. Can't shoot, can't skate, can get it up to score, what else can I say? They know fans like you will take what they give them and be happy with it and fill the rink with good customers...Apparently, the ownership and the upper management are all uninterested in the game of hockey period! If they were, they would have picked at least one natural 60 goal scorer for the team at least once in the last 4 decades. But somehow they couldn't through hundreds of picks and then squandered the good players they had. They're going nowhere unless the whole management and scouting system is "relieved" from their duties via pink slip but wait there's more...But they won't change any of the losers soon, they will hanging in there and will shortly give us a nice story about how close they were and how a couple of tweaks next year will make them champions. Simply put Betman and the managers of all NHL teams are apparently cooperating to keep Mtl and other original six teams playing a max of two rounds of playoff every other year. They have other plans apparently, like making teams with no attendance in the south west (or ones that almost went bankrupt, can you thin of any lately who have won the cup?) raise the Stanley Cup once in a while to try and boost their fortunes and make maximum $$$$ to distribute among the teams. for example, you won't see a Habs team or a Toronto win anything in decades to come. NHL is the new WWE formerly know as the WWF, its just a fixed show... its nowhere near the level it used to be before the expansion to all those desert and hot climate locations, its too diluted to produce even a lousy show, Las Vegas being the most mind numbing expansion yet but count on seeing more, who knows where else next? Palm Springs, Tucson? It is all fixed to turn in the maximum amount of $$$ to Betman and the gang... its a just a show about nothing now really, its a disgrace.

Tonight is their last game this year. They're not up to it. they neither have the talent nor the logistics to pull out of this one. Betman has made sure the league runs in a certain way and it's running exactly as he "engineered" it. There will be no Canadian teams in the third round anyway. The show has gone elsewhere, down south. Don't even bother with hockey if you're a Montreal or Toronto fan period. We only got the ice and cold weather now and the lousy exchange rate on our dollar to boot. This continues, then we see no talent playing here, no wins, no final rounds. Simple facts of life and the work of Betman to gather fans and $$$ where it counts. No broken hearts no nothing, do something else with your time,. Workout, go out on the town, have a nice brisk walk, take care of your family, don't bother at all with the show about nothing... sports in North America is overrated anyway.

Getting really tired of this franchise only capable of competing at the early stages of the playoffs. I've been saying it for 10+ years, we need High Hockey I.Q/Creative OFFENSIVE Players to reach the Cup. If I were Bergevin I'd get rid of EVERYONE next season.. for some top picks, including Price he deserves better. Sacrifice 3-4 years to rebuild the franchise. Even if we do come back and win the series, theres no way in hell this teams making it to cup finals

Every year fanboys blame the team in front of him. We've gone through hundreds of players, coaches, and GMs, trying to build a championship team around the "Next Roy". When will they realize that Price never had it to begin with? He is never able to elevate his game like other goalies in the playoffs. It doesn't matter who he faces (i.e., Lehner, Thomas, Bishop, Lunkquist) in the playoffs. He is almost always outdueled: This time by a 35 year old who found a way to exorcise his demons and step-up to overcome his regular season woes against the Habs when he needed to most. I can't help but wonder where we would be if the organization was willing to be patient with guys like Halak, Dubynk, Condon, Theodore, or even Tokarski. Hell, it took Carey 8 years to finally have a great season, and even then he got beaten by a playoff rookie in Bishop, who did more for his team than Carey has in a decade. Carey will be 30 when the next season starts. In other words, his best years are behind him. If he couldn't get it done in his mid 20s, he isn't suddenly going to become better and win a Cup. He has one year left on his contract. I would give Lindgren more ice time next season, while looking for a number 1 goalie to replace Price in 2019, assuming things don't work out with Lindgren.
