The center pages remind me of non fiction books where they have all images in the middle. My fave Archer & Olive or even my own bookbinding results, where the quality of the stitching and glue is everything for me (I'd love a cross between Leuchtturn pre printed and A&O quality).

I will have to try an Archer & Olive notebook. The binding quality really does matter.

@@BlakesBroadcast Just be kind to your notebook when training those pages that are glued along the spine, sometimes the stitching isn't as tight as it could be (in any kind of book with multiple signatures, that's why it can lay flat).

Such a nicely designed notebook. Normally, I prefer regular graph paper, but I might try this.
@BlakesBroadcast3 жыл бұрын
Hi Constance! They just came out with a dotted version which you might prefer. No graph paper as of yet though.

Really informative review, thank you. This notebook seems like it would be great for a project I’d like to work on. The only issue is that line size is very important to me, and I can’t find any information about it. How large are the lines on your notebook?
@BlakesBroadcast7 ай бұрын
I gave it away so I no longer have it. I should have included that detail in the review. I believe the lines are 7mm wide but I am not 100% sure.

Interesting. They must have upgraded the paper at some point. I have one from the original (per dot grid) run and it wasn't super great in terms of FP friendliness. It _did_ dry pretty quickly, though.

Thanks for the comment Urban. This Munken paper is very high volume and I think there is likely batch variation just like with Leuchtturm's paper. I have been testing another notebook with 120 gsm Munken paper and it did much worse than the Moo's 100 gsm.

Looks very nice, especially the binding, assuming the paper is as good as tamoeriver surely gonna try it

Thank you for the comment! Tomoe River is a coated paper and Munken Kristall is an uncoated paper so they will feel different and perform differently. Tomoe River is smoother, it has more ghosting and takes longer to dry than the Kristall. The Kristall is more absorbent and will bleed before the Tomoe River does.

My job actually gave me one of these when I started in early 2019. On the inside it said Bound in the Netherlands. I bought another recently and Now it says Designed in the UK, bound in the US. :( I haven't noticed any difference or anything, it's still very nice and you can tell it wasn't thrown together in China
@BlakesBroadcast3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the comment John! As long as they are made in the same way with the same materials it shouldn't matter too much where they were bound. How do you like the Moo notebook?

@@BlakesBroadcast its really nice and the older one has held up for 2 years and even got rained on once being in my car with the windows down. The paper that got wet discolored slightly and it also seems like my older ones paper is slightly less bright white than the new one. This could be yellowing over time or moisture but idk its supposed to be good quality paper that shouldn't yellow with age. But it may be from moisture idk. Seems consistent on every page though. Still the quality is very noticeably better compared to the average notebook from staples

Great review! Do you think it could be turned into a planner? I’m a little tired of Moleskine planners, and was searching for a new one, but couldn’t really find anything good...
@BlakesBroadcast3 жыл бұрын
Hi Victoria, thank you for the compliment! I have definitely used notebooks like this as a planner, specifically as a bullet journals. I am not sure which version of the Moleskine planners you have been using but if you want a good preformatted planner I would look at Leuchtturm1917.
@victorianaimushina3 жыл бұрын
@@BlakesBroadcast I had weekly planners by Moleskine mostly, I checked out the daily one, didn't like it either. One thing I'm not a fan of is the paper quality. I was thinking about Leuchtturm ones, so hard to find off-line to check the quality, online not so easy to find either. Randomly got a Korean flat lay notebook yesterday, might just use it as a bullet journal and keep using weekly Moleskine for work tasks. :)

I was looking at a Papier agenda/planner, but I am not sure about the quality overall.

Seems great, shame that it doesn't have a plain option.
@BlakesBroadcast3 жыл бұрын
I agree that more options would be better. When I bought mine they only had lined. They just recently came out with dotted. Hopefully they will do a blank one in the future.
