I’m so glad to see a new video. Your vid work is completely transcendently beautiful, and sounds excellent on my very modest HT system. I especially like your sound and distance measurements. Thank you for this good work you share. I wish you every success.

Elegant. Desirable luxury. SOTA high end gear comes across as those three words in two places. 1. In person. 2. A Jana Dagdagan video.

Love your videos Jana. Perhaps you could make a video about your background and how you got into this hobby, influences, etc. Its quite unusual to have a young woman take interest in a hobby that’s mostly catered to older men. We would love to see your system and know what your aspirations are for your future system. We’re all in this journey together and we would love to get to know you. Congratulations on your content. It truly is refreshing.

Great video. I went to CAF the last two years and thought The Voice That Is with their Bricasti and Tidal room blew away everything else at the show, no contest. Those speakers didn't emit sound, pure emotion flowed from them.

Thanks Jana.. I’m digging the Zesto tubed gear and the Reed analog front end.. But is that just the camera angle, or is the stylus azimuth off? @ 1:32
@thevoicethatis
@thevoicethatis 5 жыл бұрын
Your eyes are correct - it was a little bit of both. In the process of setting up between sessions, the CD transport had to be installed in place of the turntable which had to be moved. In the process, the azimuth adjustment arm was moved. The Reed arm allows for quick and easy azimuth adjustment and I adjusted it after these clips were taken and before the session started

That piece of video was shot before the session where the table was being moved on and off the stand. It was corrected before the session started. Jana did a wondrful job on this and I am very happy to have her talents.

I heard the Tidal speakers and thought they sounded excellent but not anywhere near worth their crazy asking price. Fact is you can finds similarly good speakers for many times less money even if their appearance is less luxurious. In my opinion well set up Quad 2912s are superior to the Tidals (except for ultimate dynamic range and bass extension) and most anything else at that price level.
@thevoicethatis

Yes, there are many fine products on the market and Quads are one of them. You are invited to learn more about what a TIDAL speaker is to be better informed. Fact is, Timex and A. Lange Sohne watches both tell time however they are far from the same product.

@@thevoicethatis I've heard Tidals a number of times as they have made many appearances at the Toronto TAVES ans Audiofest. Yes they are quite excellent and very beautifully made. I still prefer the Quads and other top tier electrostatics like Sandersound and for their supreme transparency, Soundlab, etc., and low distortion only possible when the entire diaphragm's moving mass is lower than a dome tweeter.

@@socksumi As we all hear differently, we will have different personal preferences based on associated equipment, room and music choices. I like Soundlabs as well possibly for reasons different than yours. The beautiful thing about audio is how we, as music lovers, are able to find product that helps us reach personal enjoyment. This I truly want to believe we share. Happy Listening! :-)
