An attempt to construct a mid-70s Moodies LP, complete with Tony Clarke style cross fades. To be clear, this is all in fun. I'm just pretending this is a mid-70s Moodies LP. Not a big fan of the solo releases as whole albums, so this is a fun way to listen to the tracks I like. If you like it too, that's great!

The Moody Blues made music that glides between space and time, lifting us into the pastures of the sun and putting our souls to flight. I am deeply grateful to be born in the 1950s at a time when magic and mystery enriched our minds and music rocked us like a mother 💐

Born in '78 and had a similar experience. I grew up listening to the music my parents and grandparents listened to and I wouldn't have it any other way.

I have also often wondered how a mid-70s Moodies album, following Seventh Sojourn, might have sounded - in other words if the band hadn't split up for a while. There are quite a few tracks from their solo projects that sound like the full band, complete with mellotron/chamberlin intrumentation and classic Moodies-style arrangements. However, with the exception of "One Lonely Room", and possibly also "Marie", I would not have included any of the songs on this compilation. There are other stronger songs, more representative of their "core 7" era style. The fantasy album, called "The Lost Album" is a better attempt. Sorry. (This should not discourage you from trying again with a better selection).

I think the best Moodies album would have come out in the mid 70's if they stayed together. If you take the best 1 or 2 songs off each solo album, throw in Blue Guitar and you have a classic.

This song made me cry because it reminded me of when in 2004 after an acupuncture treatment, give or take a week or so, I was mowing the lawn and I found my dearest friend….my sou, my higher self. The cornerstone and beginning of my own spiritual journey. Thank you Justin and all of you past on or still hanging in there for this precious gift. As I text this I’m learning this on my guitar and will cover it leading into that other gem, “In my world”. What a way to start a Sunday. Praise Yeshua Ben Joseph (Jesus our Elder brother divine guide of those of us on Gaia. Did you know that he composed many a song and had an awesome voice. Read Claire Heartsing’s “Anna: Grandmother of Jesus”. What the church never disclosed to you about our precious teacher, Essene Teacher who did survive the cross with the help of his fellow essenes who nursed him back to health. He as well as you and I and everyone IS ETERNAL!!! Don’t you ever doubt it for an instant!.

And wouldn’t you know, damnit if it didn’t happen again. “Walking on this Earth finding you…….” Oh so powerful. How this song puts me in touch with my only lover ever…….my soul my higher self. Don’t ever let an experience like this (you’ll know) be mistaken for romance because at that moment it’s dead on arrival. Hold it tight and then if you’re unsure ask God or Jesus or Kuan-Yin. Don’t share this with anybody but God or someone like Jesus or Kuan-Yin who know exactly how to guide you and if you listen in the quiet of your mind you will feel them take your hand. Please, for the sake of your very eternal like listen to what I say. Or not and be on the wise council of your freedom of choice.

beat crazy-you shouldn't tamper with other artist's work. create your own music or go away=what your doing is with your 'fantasy' is really a ''travesty' --just because you 'got away with it' doesn't mean it isn't artistically fucking wrong to impose your silly fantasies on the creative efforts and accomplishments of the Moodies or any body. i think your video is beyond weak...........................................you just don't fucking get it.
