Mike Pinder was about 28 years old when he wrote these perennial lyrics. Pure genius. 51 years later, the lyrics are still mesmerizing and relevant, as well as the music. Countless of us Boomers have now lived the years and remember this path of our lives that he sang about. "Each day has its always. A look down life's hallways, doorways, to lead you there."

As a fan of both rock and classical music, this really does tick all the boxes. Every bit as dramatic and intricate as any classical music, it perfectly showcases the genius of Mike Pinder. A true masterpiece and worthy of being right up there with music being taught at school and colleges. Nothing needs to be added and nothing taken away. Pure perfection.

This is the music that got me through a Pentecostal Bible College down in Houston, Texas in the mid-70’s. During those confusing Bible teachings, the album (This is The Moody Blues) is the one my Soul tuned into, and my Soul Journeys onward until it decides it has had enough. God Blessed that band of their beautiful songs.

The fact this is in 2017 TV show is a testament to its timelessness. When I heard it, I knew it was the Moody Blues due to their unique style, but didn't recognize the song. Excellent music!

My first love, who committed suicide, chose this song for his funeral. We loved listening to this album. I still, after 27 years, don’t know what he was trying to tell me. It is still so hard to listen to this song.

Saw him play this masterpiece twice. From On the Threshold of a Dream. After Mike left, it was never the same group that made the sounds of the first 8 albums and especially Days through Every Good Boy. Sure, the three left do some great stuff, but it is missing the male voices of Mike and Ray and their expert musicianship that was such a big part of the experience from the Go Now beginning to coming down with 7th Sojourn. Mike's mellotron finesse is the addition to the 4 man harmony vocals that was the invention of symphonic rock, a sound not heard before, not really duplicated, and of the highest caliber. Lyrics with heavy meaning, sung with feeling, the five guys making something far bigger than themselves.

After I bought this album (vinyl) when it first came out (obviously, a long time ago), I made a continuous recording of the last 19 seconds of this song which lasted for the length of a cassette tape (60 minutes, if I recall) and I would just let it play continuously in the background. The only word is "ethereal".
