My favourite little Mooer, along with their, Blues Crab, Trelocopter, and Pure Boost. If you tweak it just so, it'll get you *very* close to a '76-77 Green Font Electric Mistress.

Hey Eric. I really enjoyed your demo. Very Authentic Presentation-style. How is yours Holding-Up ? Any Tone Sucking ? or Volume Drop ? Is it Noisy ? I do like the sound of this flanger. I really wanted a Hartman but I think this is 2nd Best for Classic Mistress Sound.

Thanks man! I really like that little flanger. To be fair, I can't really comment on it's durability because the store only let me take it home for the weekend. Didn't notice any tone suck or volume drop wen I demoed it, but I wasn't very scientific about that :)

I picked up the Jet Engine version- Only for my keyboards. Figure chain flanger before reverb. But wondering if I should put it before or after my Strymon Lex. Will likely bypass Jet Engine when Lex is on/ and vice versa. Just not sure how a Hi impedence guitar pedal will fit in with Lo impedence pedals and keyboards; and if that will determine where pedal should go in my chain. Could also run it ahead of my EXP/VOL pedal, if needed to avoid any loss. Any suggestions appreciated. Note: compared E-lady with Jet Engine and decided I wanted a very subtle flange mostly for Rhodes type sounds (and maybe the occasional synth tweaks), which I think Jet Engine will provide. Also why I selected flanger over phaser pedal.. Though E-Lady would be my choice for guitar.

worth getting for a first time effects pedal user? all I've used before is my amps built in overdrive, using a blackstar HT-5 amp btw and playing a range of stuff in the General 60's/70's rock/pop spectrum

Good question! Those backstar amps are great -btw! For me, must have effects for classic rock/psyche would be in order of necessity: 1) overdrive - you're good on that 2) reverb - ht-5 has got you covered 3) fuzz - for those jimi hendrix tones 4) delay - analog or digital, both are cool 5) then come all the other wacky ones: tremolo, chorus, phaser, flanger, wah wah, etc. So I suppose I'm telling you to hold of for now :) However, If you really love the sound of the flanger, and it would make you happy, just buy it! You only live once!

Hi Eric thanks for the video, I bought mine but with the colour knob just past 3:00 (actually 2:30) the oscillator noise just goes ballistic, actually at 3:30 the extreme high pitch can deafen someone, should I return it or is it like this with all of them?

I'm not sure, Martin. It's been a while since I took that one home and played with it. I'll ask the guys at the store to borrow it again and see if the one they have does that crazy screech that you mention. I have a vague recollection of that happening, so It *might* be part of the circuit design. Weird!

Almost! Better than the big box Deluxe EM for Msr. Gilmour. In front of a Muff, works like a charm. In the fx loop of my VOX-voiced 30w, with some tape delay and a Treble Booster hitting my OD or amp gain = Msr. May.

Nice video. Cool Floyd tones. Is this a noisy pedal? I'm returning an ehx because of hiss and buzz even though the sounds are super nice.

I think these are hit or miss - some folks have complained about them breaking after a few months, or making a lot of noise. This one's quiet - but that's what I've heard.

Is the Donner Jet Convolution just a re-branded Mooer E-Lady? Is there any volume drop when engaging the pedal?

Hrmmm don't really know. It's certainly possible. I didn't notice volume drop when I switched it on, but it's been a while since I shot that demo :-D

I was reading about this yesterday, some say it's built to lesser standards while others say they are identical. They do use the same board, in fact it will likely say Mooer on it, but switches and caps may be cheaper on the Donner version.

I hate to pimp out someone else’s video in your comment section, but I think you might be interested in this KZbin video entitled “Mooer Elec-Lady Review Ferdi Floyd” This dude found a near perfect replication of Gilmour’s tone, the pedal you demonstrated here obviously being the main feature. I’m definitely willing to invest in the setup, as I’m sure many others would be too, maybe yourself included! I’d love to hear your thoughts on it. By the way, excellent demo you did here 👍

AFAIK it was only a branding issue, circuit should be unchanged in the E Lady.

Naw, not really. I'm not a huge fan of Leslie pedals in general - they never can fully capture the magic of a real speaker spinning around.

Of course! If you're looking for a rotary sound, I'd vote for getting a univibe pedal - those things are magical! I have the Jampedals Retrovibe and it's killer, but there are tons of cheaper options available too!

I have both Leslie pedal and Strymon Lex. Need 2 amps and stereo outs to get best replication. I have a 27 lb. Korg CX-3 (2002 double drawbar model). Sure beats lugging around a chopped B-3 and 122 Leslie. And I can get my sound about 75 to 80% there. Still might get an old Rotosphere. IMO the best replicator to put on a keyboard tone wheel emulator.
