I've been waiting for this one since the hype you generated with that photo one or two days ago. Cabs sound improved over ge200 (I think...) and mic choice FINALLY works! One thing I still don't get is the volume difference between different amp models when you cycle through them, how come no one at Mooer (Line 6 too) didn't think to put them at the same subjective level...? Also excited about that JP2C as well as other new amps over there... Cheers from Serbia, Taylor.

Great demo! When you capture the tone would you also be able to demonstrate how this acts running 4cm just for effects with the amp and cab sims off? I'd be interested in using this with a midi controlled amp but other small form factor modellers I've used have ground hum issues and only have midi in rather than out so this seems a lot more fully featured.

Thanks for the overview Taylor. I'm thinking about upgrading my GE200 but a key feature I'm looking for is being able to foot-switch stuff on my computer with MIDI (the patches etc. in Neural DSP apps, or Logic Pro Surface Control). You mention that this seems to be possible with the GE250, could you give this a try please? I'm about to return the very disappointing Tone Shift MEGA which was supposed to be an audio/MIDI interface in one unit, but it doesn't seem to work with Logic Pro at all...

Hey man, I´m looking to get one of these cause my Ampero Hotone was sent back due to a noise issue. I really really liked the amp sounds on the Ampero, even more than the ones on my old GE200. My question to you is if you think the amps on the GE250 sound better with the last update that enables the unit to be able to use. GNR files?? Cause if it´s anything like the Ampero amp sound quality I´m pulling the trigger on it. Thanks for the videos man!

@@TaylorDanley Cool. I even thought the 200 sounded good, but yeah it did sound better to me.. I think though the deal breaker for me is tue power amp stuff. I just really want it. I'm looking at a used Elevin Rack. I tried one a couple three years ago and it sounded great and actually did feel somewhat like an amp. Only the AxeFx sounded better to me.. I had tried an axefx 2 my cousin's studio has along with a kemper, and a room full of heads and cabs.. I am not inspired to play if I don't have that feel a little. That spongey tube thing and tone of course. I'll give up a little in tone if it's close and has that feel, but I think to get it I'm goimg to need power amp parameter controls... I'm in no hurry though. I play my Katana and it sounds great except I don't like the built in effects much.. Maybe I'm just too picky. 😂 It's what I prefer though.. Great videos though sir. It would be cool if you could compare the tones + fizz in a mix vs the tones without the fizz in the mix. It is some peoples belief that the inherent fizz is what helps tones cut through a mix. Also. I dont know anything about these Mooer products.....aside from options, are the much improvements in the tones/amp models with the higher model numbers? Like would the Ge300 even sound better than this? Thanks

Good question. The 250 came after the 300, so I assume the tech is the same, but I could be wrong.
@dantearturorodriguezcamach26134 жыл бұрын
Hey Taylor, thanks for the awesome video! Got a question for you. When using the cntrl footswitch on the GE200 to activate/deactivare other predefined effects there is some lag. What i mean is that the new effects don't come in when the cntrl footswitch is pressed all the way down, but when you release it (which makes it feel like lag because you naturally want the effects to change when you actually press it) Now I see the GE250.has A B & C switches for dedicated patches. Is the "lag" the same case for the GE250 when pressing A B C, or do they actually activate when the switch is pressed down rather than when it is released? I hope I was able to express the specific doubt I have in mind. Thank you so much! Regards.

Hi Taylor! I sold my ge300 3 months ago, I always thought it sounded boxy even with IR's, and now i have the Helix LT, but after all this time tweaking it just can't get a good metal sound. Do you think Axe FX or even the ampero would be for me? I know I need to tweak all of them, but I think they all have some "sound resolution" limits. Thanks for your awesome videos, keep up!
@TaylorDanley4 жыл бұрын
If you dont like the helix LT, I dont know that the Axefx is going to be a huge step up tonally. IMO the big difference is how many features the axe has to manipulate tones, not quality of said tone.
@CedricSatterfield4 жыл бұрын
Stupid question. Ge200 had a tap/ Ctrl button. Where is it on the 250? There manual talks about the function button button not how to use it with a footswitch. Not seeing a dedicated switch is putting me off from getting one, and I have a 200 coming. If I can figure this out I may get the 250.
@TaylorDanley4 жыл бұрын
I think you can assign functions to the 3 foot switches on the 250, where as the 200 has 1 assignable switch that can also double as a tap when held down.
