I could gladly watch Elmo review anything at all all day long even if I don't plan on buying it too. Even if I feel like I hate my own life on some gloomy day I will change my mind immediately upon just seeing Elmo's funny YT thumbnails! Thank You dearest Elmo for all of your so enjoyable and humorous reviews here because it makes my life, for one, much more bearable and especially these days too. Your incredible abilities and superb talent don't hurt either! You are a really sweet treat for a tired soul and very considerate and strictly honest too and THAT my friend is no joke.

@@squirelova1815sorry, but I must say that If, In your nickname, you are trying To write Squirelova. That is wrong. Squier is right, not Squire. 😊
@squirelova18156 ай бұрын
@@jasujokelainen5073 That depends. It's totally "right" for me for YT because besides being a real long time Squire guitars fan, (A) I can actually REMEMBER how to spell "SQUIRE" if I needed to and more importantly, (B) It was an AVAILABLE name for a YT account at the time plus, (C) It's a funny jab and reference to the equally weird "Squire" spelling that is commonly misspelled. I actually misspelled "misspelled" here while writing this too and had to 'spell check' it. How very fitting, no?

From my experiences with practice amps it'll sound much better when the speaker breaks in and then opinions on it will change.
@daniellarson306810 ай бұрын
All these amps that are reviewed with the speakers smaller than the 12" of the Roland Cube on the wall never seem to have sound that pleases Elmo. I think I am seeing a pattern.
@svarfinnbogason364510 ай бұрын
Well, you got a point here. Although this pattern is understandible. the thing is that 8 inch speakers are just to small to give a good rounded guitar sound. I have three amps with 8" and one of those is a Bugera infinium and I have swapped out the standard speaker for a Celestion 8" and some others just for fun. The Celestion sounded best out of those I have tried but was still not good. I find that the big jump in tone is between 8" and 10" speakers and if I plug the Bugera to the 10" speakers in my Fender it is a different amp. Sounds really nice. 8" is to small for anything but home use and if that is the use case then I alvwaus reccomend getting somethinglike the Yamaha THR, Boss Katana AIr EX, or a NuX or Spark - if you are on a budget. I never use the tube monsters at home any more :)

@@svarfinnbogason3645Thanks - I have a Roland Cube where the amp went bad. Per your comments, it makes sense to keep that 12" speaker.

for 150 €, I guess this is acceptable, but if you want a box like that, why not add a few Euros and get a Katana 50 mk2, I think it is around 230€. It is not that much bigger and has a 12 inch speaker and it sounds way better, plus, it can also be used in band practice situations (some at least)

a question out of the subject! The fender lt50 share the same fender tone app with same capabilities and features just like fender gtx50 or gtx100 ?? I mean , the fender tone app ,gives you the same options at any of this amps??

I use a micro cube and this hornet. Cleans are pretty similar. Hornets effects are more prominent especially delay but the cubes reverb is more natural sounding. The micro is best for it's classic stack sound which the hornets pl100 model can't replicate. The hornet has more gain and EQing available the mooer metal model is much tighter and chunkier than the recto setting on the cube. Both good practice amps i like both. Side note the knobs on hornet look like they tried to copy the cubes design

Great review. Mooer quality doesn´t stop to impress, for the price. Just one question: does it perform equally well at bedroom´s level ? By the way, beatifull scalloped neck ? Came stock with your guitar or an after purchase job?
@MrPolevaulter10 ай бұрын
Bedroom level should be fine. The guitar is custom made with the scallops.

Sounded a bit dark overall. On the other hand it's good you don't need a smartphone app to use it. Software has a limited lifecycle, either that or it won't run any longer on the version of the OS you'll be on a few years.

You had a few amps dialed in kind of 'ok' on this Mooer Black Hornet 30W (given low expectations to start with), but the 'Clean' and 'Plexi' never reached 'ok' to my ears. Mooer can do better, it's a little surprising it's this poor. IMO, money is better spent on the many alternatives for the $170CAD.
