From what I've heard, x2 presets all sound the same just eq'd differently. So loading IR's will make it sound better.

They’re actually not that similar but it’s hard to get into all the details in a single video. I’d recommend checking out multiple videos. Using IRs would be a good way to customize them to your liking for sure.

If I was running just the pre amp, You're suggesting gain pedals before pre amp and then modulation after the pre before going to my audio interface?

Why is this thing so cheap? Do you think it would be alright to use this before going DI into a focusrite. Would you still need to use something like amplitube after it or nah?

Yes you can use these direct. That’s how I recorded this video. No other plugins are used.

Is there are a reason mids are dialed all the way down and bass most of the way down?

The knobs don’t actually reflect the actual settings used (probably should have mentioned that in the video). I’m going through the presets in the video. Bass is mostly set to around 9 o’clock and mid to noon on most presets. That’s what I thought worked best with my guitars.

The entire video with the same setting? Low gain and mids at zero? Try to tweak some knob, dude!

Knobs just stayed at that position but I was going through presets. You can tell each preset sounds different and have different gain and eq values. There are so many modes in this pedal, adding a knob tweaking part would have made this video way too long. I opted to do a quick run through.
