Sounds great ! Love ur vids 🤟🏼 What are you using for delay ?
@EugeValovirta230V2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I’ve had Boss DD-3 since 90s I think and it does the job really well. I also have a DD-7 which does the job too. But I hardly use those since I always add delay in the mix / when mixing and never record DLY like with any time based fxs. My go to delay plugin is Softube’s Tape Echoes or Waves’ CLA Epic. I hardly use delay live too ’cos our FOH just adds that to the solos if he feels so but I have the DD-3 on my live board if I feel like adding that myself.

Killer song! The main riff has balls! Hehehe! Many pro techniques used in this song. Nice phrasing, too. You always nail the bends, squeels, and vibrato. Your solos are always amazing. You play effortlessly, but what you are playing is not easy! You just make it look easy. Very nice tone, too! The X2 setup sounds great. How does it compare to a Friedman BE-OD pedal? Like you always say: the real stuff is real... and the digital stuff is digital. The "real" stuff is always better, but it's getting more and more expensive to buy these days. That goes for new AND used stuff. ( You get your hands on an EVH ICONIC yet? )

Hi Euge, I am considering to build a pedalboard around one of these pedal preamps. Maybe the Friedman BE-OD. Can you recommend a small amp for home use if I do not want to connect the pedalboard to a computer? Keep up the good work🤘🏻
@EugeValovirta230V3 жыл бұрын
Cool! Head or combo? BluGuitar’s AMP1 is awesome head; small in size but big in sound. I guess one can’t go wrong with some small Marshall combo. My experience with small combos are very limited but I’d probably go with a Marshall 🤟😎.

Nice informative video, I though the x2 cab needed stereo in to get stereo out thanks for pointing that out. I use x2 pre to tc mimiq (the stereo one) out in stereo into the x2 cab. Been experimenting with a Donner harmoniser on the output of one of the lines out of the the Donner in the mid switch position, dry is turned off just wet signal. You get a nice wide sound. Like your self I have everything set hard left and right. Can’t play like you though lol. I was Supprised at the quality of tracking of the £25 Donner harmoniser wiping the floor of my old boss one that cost £175 back in the day. It’s ok in the mid or low octave. Also I got my x2 pre and cab on offer saving over £100 on the 3 pedals.

We need a noise gate in the Preamp x software like preamp live has.

I believe the latency is regarding the miliseconds delay between left and right IRs, as in a chorus, to widen the sound... some IR loader plugins have that same parameter. (Not really sure, just guessing 😉 )

You’re right. I figured it out after I shot the video 😊. But I’ll do another more in depth one in the near future.

Dude, I have two questions, please. Is it worth me discarding a flamma fs07 and fs06 to just use the mooer preamp x2 or will I lose sound quality? Or another option, I use the mooer preamp x2 with the flamma fs07, but the x2 with the cabinet simulation turned off of course. What is better??? Thank you in advance if you can help me, brother.

Great sounds and playing but I can't support Mooer anymooer. My Preamp Live has a dead input, makes no sound at all. Lots of other people have the same issue with the Preamp Live. Instead of addressing the issue Mooer just sells a ton of em, stops supporting it and makes a new product to replace it. Just like the Preamp Live, when people figure out the shortcomings to this device Mooer won't care to address them because they will already have moved on to promoting the next thing.
