This video shows some of the sounds the Moog Subsequent 37 can produce including classic Moog bass sounds, duophonic sounds, and leads. The last part also shows how the Subsequent 37 can be used to distort and filter external sounds.
The Subsequent 37, from Moog Music, is an upgraded and improved version of their original Sub 37 analog synthesizer. Just like the original, it has 40 knobs and 74 switches, making it one of the most powerful Moog synthesizers on the market. The Subsequent 37 improves on the original with a number of user-requested enhancements. Now with double the headroom, the Subsequent 37 can reach an even fatter tone when stacking oscillators. The Subsequent also comes with an upgraded keybed, for ultimate playability.

The overall quality of this synth is unbelievable. It's like an anvil. When you get one, you realise the cost is totally justified. Nothing wobbles, creaks or move erratically. The panel is a pleasure to use......and that's before we even consider the sound of it. You just know it's going to be a lifelong staple in your home or studio. It not just a 'better version of X' - it's something entirely different...

Moog is THE number 1 in synthesizers. All others after that is just personal preference. ALL others

I think that’s “your” personal preference. Sorry, but DSI Sequential makes the best synths IMO. More specifically, the OB6, OBxA, Prophet 6, Prophet 5/10, Pro 3, and Prophet REV2 16 are IMO the best Polyphonic/ Monophonic synths out there. Too bad Access fell off the boat. The Access Virus TI2 is IMO the best VA synth out there still..... almost 10 years later.

@@lordundhimself1310 All instruments are just personal preference... even Moog. Personally I'd say Moog is perhaps #12 in synthesizers. They're good, among the best even, but given the choice between literally anything they make, or something of equivalent price from other brands, I'd take something from other brands. Like, Sub37? Would rather have a Pro 3. Matriarch? Would rather have a Peak or Summit or Hydrasynth. Mother-32? Would rather have a Minibrute 2. Moog One? Could buy an entire studio worth of other stuff instead. But again, this is all just personal preference.

You can see that they have revoiced its frequency spectrum and have taken out some of the sub frequencies. It has more of a midrange, brighter, more articulate tone like obberheim or P6. Sub37 is harder to clean up with limited frequency range, however it does the deepest, warmest bass. The subsequent 37 might not be a bass monster like original. However Sub37 is less versatile outside of bass range it seems. Thought about doing he Sub37 upgrade but don't want to loose subby mud for bass..

You could run this into a talk box, it outputs a higher signal level than a guitar, but you could just turn the output volume down until it is the right level for the talk box input.

Has anybody an idea how to delete Presets? I installed some Peter Dyer presets trough the Editor Software and everything went well but now I'd like to remove them from my subsequent (like it was delivered, factory state, so I want to init all the presets I made, except of them which the subsequent get delivered with, so the pre installed) Find no answer in the Manual, only how to reset the global menu, but the presets stay. If anybody has an idea please help! Thanks in advance.

At 34 seconds i wish a faster enveloppe, faster attack; this is a bit of weakness of this synth.....even the model D Berhinger has faster enveloppe to get that snappy 80s bass sound
