Just as a note regarding the Shisui gear. Since it's a leveling dungeon you actually can't have bad rng on the drop. Every time you clear a leveling dungeon you get 1 piece from the gear set of the class you're currently playing. So you hit the pity system after like 10-11 runs where you just will have gotten every piece (unless you discarded the pieces you didn't want while farming)

Only if you do it in the dungeon finder. If you solo it, you can still have terrible rng. I've unsync soloed it and ran it 20+ times and still never got the full set.

@@iceman3317 just did it to confirm, it have a guarantee drop for unsinc, the thing is that it only drop gear for the job you are playing, if you get all the PLD gear, and run it again as a PLD you will get no gear from the last boss, only the boxes.

Small tip so people don't repeat my idiocy: Don't bother hoarding MGP Platinum Cards waiting for Make it Rain or anything else like that. The Platinum Cards always reward a flat 30k MGP no matter what, no boosts apply.

as mentioned in comments this moogle treasure trove will run parallel to all saint's wake. the halloween reward seems pretty useful this time, so better plan to spend some time in Gridania as side content /malevolence emote from MTT comes handy this time of the year :D

That 2P card especially... I spent weeks solo queuing daily for the alliance raid. It was right before Dawntrail release. Half an hour queue time, and this is a long alliance raid. It can really be a pain to farm unless you have an organized group running it. And in the end when I finally got it, the game gave me two copies. So... not only can you Need on this even if you already have the card, but the RNG can give you both cards at the same time on top of it. And afaik, their is still no NPC to play triple triad with who drops it. Save yourself the pain, get it through the Moogle event.

I think itd be nice if you could only roll Need on cards you dont have. That way people in ARs who dont have a card can still roll greed if *somehow* the whole alliance raid already has a card but. That's doubtful

Since I got a bunch of mounts from the Moggle Tome Stone events and no longer need most of the mounts they put on them anymore, all I can say is, you can NEVER go wrong with grinding Moogle Tomes for MGP packets!

Subbing Fri or Sat lets you do Big Cacpot and Fashion Report as well. A Saturday resub lets you play Tuesday after the weekly reset

To clarify, there's lots of options for dungeons and things you can farm -- so dont worry too much if stuff like PvP isnt an option for you as there will still be other options for farming c:

The Japanese word is just "friendly tribe" which is better, but not all of them are tribes. The kobolds are a labor union, the dwarves are a town, etc. Beast tribes never made sense. Sylphs are cabbage people. That ain't a beast!! Faction would be a lot better. I guess the translators want to dress up the language though.

you are misunderstanding the riding maps, they increase the speed of your mount in the zone in general, still to get the maps is not worth it from mog event since its pretty easy to farm with hunt marks for the expansions prior to shadowbringers and shared fate grinding for shadowbringers and on. so correct conclusion for the wrong reason

Should've added Golbez and Barbie extreme mounts as those are still a little tricky. Also I've only been playing for a year but this is the first moogle event that I've seen that doesn't have tradable mounts. The last one I farmed Gabriel keys/Ufiti horns and sold them all once the price went back up.

i actually only care for the mounts and since I'm a solo player, farming EX and Savage unsynced is still a pain often. So I will definitely grab the mounts. the Society mounts I'll go for last but probably as well since I haven't done them yet and thing moogle tome farming is more fun than daily society quests. I did farm some of the newer societies but the ARR ones to me are hella tedious.

The thing about the society quests is that they all have stories, so it's not *just* the daily quests. Some of the stories are really good, too! Cant say i remember the Amaalja or Sylph ones though as I dont think i paid attention to them way back when. But ive kept up with the stories for SHB and onward and really liked a lot of them.

really? xD i feel like you could do one frontlines and get them. i also hate pvp but i use it to lvl, and i usually try to get the rewards cuz rank 25 is often a mount or something cool like that.

Frontline daily is not really PvP. Follow the horde, target some peeps/crystals, mash buttons, die sometimes, repeat until end. Easy and with the exclusive PvP level rewards like mounts and half a level for a job of your choosing, definitely worth 20 minutes a day.
