He won the Copa America last year while being the top goalscorer, top assist provider and best player of it! Ronaldo hasn't been a top assist provider and best player of an international tournament. Not only Messi has more of these individual titles, but also he has more assists and more MOTM awards. If it’s up to date then Messi takes quite literally every section other than European Winning. He now takes International with the WC, Copa America, and Finalissima and takes the winning category overall.

Plesea, stop it. I am a guy who watched Messi and Ronaldi almost 95% of theri matches, and it was insulting to compare Messi to Cristiano, Messi was so muuuuch better. Only colective titles hold the debate (where Ronaldo had a lot of colective luck), all this champions league and especially with Portugal was sick. In Euro 2016 he had 5 horrible matches and was carried, he was the man with most big chances missed on the tournamente and only palyed well 2 of 7 games (wales and hungray), the other 5 matches were so bad, that his rating was so poor in the tournament that in all rating pages (fotmob, whoscore, sofascore, etc,...) he wasnt even on the best 50 rating players...then the team almost won witouth him the final. Then the Nations league, they went to the semifinales only once (when CR7 dindt play) and played only 2 matches, and only did a good perfocmance in 1 game in all the tournament vs swizterland...in all others Nations league he has played the group stage, his team was eliminated, only the one he dindt play, his team was succesful. And in KO stages, Messi has 30 G/A in KO (11 in WC) while Cristiano has only 5 G/A in euros/wc (0 goals contributions in 5 WC KO stages, not even a final, not even a medal), and eliminated by weak temas like USA in gropustages, Uruguay and Morroco!!!! The records he's breaking now is what he's worked for 2 decades, he's reaping his rewards but is ultimately failing his team. Spanish league is the league with the least goals scored in the last few years. most teams are Burnley's with better football ability and tactics. Spanish and English leagues have always dominated the 2 top spot the last 20-25, Italian league doesn't sit with these 2. It's just that Real and Barca were too good for everyone else, that's why both Messi and Cr7 scored most of their goals in that league.

No thats not true. Messi played right winger until 2010 when guardiola decide to put him in false 9. That's why Zlatan left Barcelona btw. He didnt want to play on the right. And when the MSN was formed, Messi went back to the right. When neymar left, he started playing as a midfielder (#10 position).

1. Messi played in Spain 99% of his career it's obvious why his statistics are better 2. Ronaldo played in England the most difficult league 3. Barcelona is on average better than all the teams Ronaldo played maybe except for Real Madrid under Zidane's management 5. Conmebol the Federation in which Argentina plays is much easier than UEFA 6. Ronaldo is hated by many many people and everyone loves Messi. 7. Ronaldo was robbed of the Balon d'or in 2018, the Puskás award in 2018 and ma y other prizes. They robbed the Balon d'or for Messi at least twice, robbed from Lewandowski and Salah, maybe even more robing from Neymar and Sjneider. Ronaldo has on average more points on Balon d'or. If things were fair it would be at least 6x6 on Balon d'or maybe 6x5 to Ronaldo. 8. In 2021 Messi won Copa America but that competition is easier than UEFA Euro, there are less teams, Argentina is a much better footballing nation than Portugal a tyne country and Copa America 2021 shouldn't exit because they did another Copa America in 2019. Messi won so congratulations to him but these nunaces matter. You can't compare Portugal with Argentina and Copa America with the UEFA Euro. There are nuances that this video don't show! I also work with football. I respect everything Messi has done. I am not one who seriously call him Pessi or disrespect him but I am real and 4/7 Messi's Balon d'or are in question. 2012 Sjneider won the Champions League, the one won in 2015 Neymar was the most important player for Barcelona, his 7th everyone knows Lewandowski was the best player that season, the one in 2019 Salah was the better player, in 2018 Ronaldo was robbed because of the hype around Croatia and Modric. Modric is a top top player but he was not the most important player for Real Madrid nor for the Croatian national team, Ronaldo was absolutely robbed of the Puskás in 2018 and everyone knows. Show the overhead kick vs Juve in the UCL semifinal vs the close to the line outside the box scored by Salah to any person and ask them which is prettier. 99% will say it was the overhead kick. I am not saying that Messi should have only 3, 4 Balon d'or but I am saying that they clearly robbed one of Ronaldo 100% and some of Messi's are in question but 5, 6 would still be decently fair. Messi is adored by television commentators, pundits, players etc, Ronaldo is hated by so many people, they created this aurea that Ronaldo is incredibly selfish, egocentric, the worse person there is but that impression is not correct and that impression influences negatively how the view him and that reflects in many awards that are voted by these people and the opinion they give. Correct me if i'm wrong, but Cr7 played professionally for 4 clubs in 4 different leagues in his career so long and he had to adapt every time and we all saw his style changing from Left/Right winger (showman) to a striker ( goal maschine) while Messi played just for barcelona till last year and wee see him having problems at PSG at the moment. Lol, This video is biased af, even tho I think Messi is the best player ever but this video doesn't do Ronaldo any justice (showing bad highlights of him but not Messi for example) and this video doesn't say that Messi has a team that plays for him and for him only since 2007 while Ronaldo was on different teams (now you can see that he's "strugling" at PSG because PSG plays around Mbappe and not Messi, being on a new team is not that easy). The best way to compare the 2 would be actually to only consider stats when they played in the same league. Also winning 2 trophies with Portgugal is one of the most underrated thing that Ronaldo has done. Id take Diego Maradona over both of them Despite Messi being the best dribbler/close control player ever, and CR7 being the most versatile (in his peak) and both were better goal scorers. If I was going to build a team around anyone it would be Maradona, and Diego is a better captain than both and was famed for taking lesser team mates and getting the best out of them, in other words I can build more all time teams that work with Maradona than any other IMO I do however think Messi at his peak was the best Wing Forward ever, and CR7 was the best Forward across both wings and the center. None of these players are the best finisher I have ever seen, that was Romario, but all 3 other players are better all round players than Romario (although Romario was very good, not just the greatest of finishers) Maradona is the best number 10 ever and can play attacking mid, winger/wing forward/wing back, central mid, number 10, second striker/false9 to a standard as good as pretty much anyone, until Messi came along Maradona was the best dribbler/close control player ever. Having said all this if we are talking peak, Id take peak R9 and R10 over anyone, they just both did not do it for long enough at the crazy level. Messi , CR7 and Diego for sure did that, and arguably so did Romario There are way more than just 2 in the conversation stats aint everything

I think when it comes to goat debates, it’s all subjective no matter what people say, as people ultimately choose their “goat” by their emotions and playing style preferences. For me, my “eye-test” tells me the Brazilian Ronaldo is the undisputed goat with respect to CR7 & Messi’s unmatched stats & accomplishments simply by looking at their primes and difficulty, in terms of the eras they played in.

During their prime you could debate which was better. That is no longer the case. Messi at 34 is finished. He proved he can't play outside the Barcelona system, even in a farmer's league surrounded by the 2nd most expensive team on the planet. At 34 Ronaldo was killing it and continues to do so at 37.
