While this may not be as good as his original 1950 classic version (nothing comes close), this 1958 Moon Mullican "self cover" performance of "The leaves mustn't fall" was recorded during the Asian Flu pandemic. 51 years later, I recorded my own version durng the Swine flu pandemic. Unlike 2020 Covid 19, both the 1958 and 2009 pandemics were treated as pandemics and not as an excuse to make "The Handmaid's Tale" and "1984" real. Moon had the appropriate pandemic song in this. For the abuse of Covid 19 by wannabe dictators, Van Morrison is your man with "No more lockdown". Blues singers in general always know exactly what is right and know what is a pandemic and what is the abuse of a pandemic to create the Republic of Gilead as we see now.
