This video was super helpful, thank you! I'm getting Am I Everything You Fear?, Ghost Ship, and Maelstrom (also picking up Pomegranate Seeds because I've wanted it for forever). I'm personally happy they're releasing colors close to limited editions shades, I think that's just a nice thing to do. I know some folks are tired of the blues and purples but as a blue and purple person - never mad. With the Persephone collection and now sirens...I kinda want this whole year to be about badass mythological women. (I also want them to do a vampire theme so, so bad because they'd do it so so well)

I thought Siren's Revenge looked basically like a dupe of Full Scream Ahead so it was awesome to see them literally side by side. I'm holding off on MC purchases for now because I don't personally think they're worth $15-$16 given that they're 12mL, but I added Siren's Revenge, Maelstrom, the Sea Between Us and Am I Everything You Feared to my wishlist for sale-season!

Yep, this was what I was waiting on! Snagged Am I Everything You Fear (that may require a backup purchase), Maelstrom, The Sea Between Us, and Ghost Ship. I swear that either Cirque Colors or ILNP has a multichrome that's super similar to A Most Destructive Melody. The Siren's Revenge is so beautiful, but so close to Full Scream Ahead (which I love and bought a backup).

Holo magnetic pigment seems to give brands some trouble. Early swatch pics had me thinking there were some must haves in this collection but I think I only like the multichrome enough to add it to the wish list. Thank you for the thorough review and most especially all your comparisons!

yeah sadly i feel like the base is either too light or theres just not enough holo pigment for it to “work” .. the multichrome is really gorgeous though and while it’s unique to my collection, it actually looks like it could be a dupe (Or super close to) Holo Taco’s Purple with Envy and/or ILNP’s Birefringence, in case you have either of those! but so glad my swatches + comparisons were helpful 🫶🏼

I like the vibes and color story but I feel like I already own so many similar shades by other brands... The only ones going on my wish list are Treachery in Blue, A Most Destructive Melody and The Siren's Revenge (and this one is because I'm a sucker for teals lol). I wish you had compared the Sea between us with never tide down from HT! They look so similar to me. EDIT: I pulled out my never tide down and realized the flakies are not as prominent there, so they're different "enough" but the color and vibes are a match IMO.

Quicksands Embrace oddly enough is prob my favorite shade 😂 I don't mind how subtle it is. It's a calmer shade in a sea of chaos 🤣🌊 and it's def a safe comfy shade for sure. I bought the whole collection but I think that will be one I use alot. ❤

The holo magnetic reminds me of the Cirque Bubbly collection. The magnetic pigment is sooooo subtle in those, just like with this one. They bummed me out because if I’m going to that much hassle to magnetize it, I’d like to be able to see it!

I really appreciate how you do your swatch videos. Showing the polish on its own as well as bottle comparisons and side by side on the nail! It’s very helpful. As for this collection there are a few I like, however I only picked up Maelstrom and Treachery in the Blue. I actually like that the holo isn’t as noticeable in Quicksand’s Embrace because I think it is a flattering soft color but I don’t like linear holographic or too much holo sparkle so I might be picking that one up on my next order.

The Siren's Revenge is my favorite, very unique. I'm a little bored with blue/green polishes with purple/red shimmer that indies have been putting out so this is a great departure from that. I will prob get that one. Thanks for the swatches!

Thanks again for such a helpful video!! I LOVE the theme of this collection and I was so exited for it when I saw the teasers. I’m planning to get Siren’s Revenge, Maelstrom, Am I Everything You Fear, and Treachery in Blue. I really like the colour scheme of the thermal, though I totally share your concern that it will fade over time…also I have to keep short nails for work, so the nice thermal gradient never works on me. 😢 But that muted navy and pink is just too delicious together. I really wanted to like Quicksand’s Embrace but I’m so glad you showed how finicky the magnetic pigment it is. I also wish the Sea Between Us and Maelstrom were different enough to justify buying both - really wished one of them had a different colour shimmer (maybe even a copper/red one?). It reminded me how similar last collection’s Garden of Evil and Field of Elysian were. 😅

Also I just wanted to say that your matching theme/makeup/outfits are so cute and you look like a dark deep sea siren here! You know I can’t make a decision without your extensive review first! 🥰💖👏🏻 The Sea Between Us is absolutely stunning! And Maelstrom took my breath away! That shimmer in Am I Everything You Fear is divine! I absolutely love it! I thought I was going to love the magnetics…especially Ghost Ship. But they are kinda blah to me. I do however really like the thermals! And that is surprising to me because I don’t typically care for thermals. I really like the colors in both states cool and warm. The multichrome is super pretty, but I feel like I may have something similar already in my collection.💖 Thanks so much for always doing such a beautiful job showcasing these polishes and for your comps! Esp Treachery in the Blue but I’m definitely gonna love Dark Omens in the fall 🧛🏻 And based off some other comments, apparently ILNP Birefringence or Holo Taco’s Purple With Envy might be closer dupes! I sadly don’t have either to compare directly, but based off the photos/descriptions I can see it!

I found it a little challenging to work with, but patience was key for me. 😅

Also, I found out after getting BKL's multichromes, that I realized I have some from KBShimmer as well even though they're magnetics, but I think I'm more of a white multichrome person than a usual one, cus when I think of multichrome, I think of dark colors. 🤔

(maybe its hard for me to tell bc i’m usually heavy handed lol) and yeah i can see what you mean too about not lovinggg this collection, someone else mentioned all the deeper blues/purples are pretty but work better for winter and maybe the brighter ones for summer, which makes sense to me! and i’m the same way where i always associate multichromes as being darker colors too!

I've yet to purchase from Mooncat! The NBC and HP collections almost got me because both those movies meant a lot to me as a kid and still do, but i resisted! I am swapping for a secondhand bottle of Pumpkin King though. With the exception of the magnetics and thermals, this collection is hardcore pulling me in and i don't think i'll be able to resist when i have the funds to spare. let's hope there's a sale soon lol

Hmmm. These are all gorgeous and surprisingly I am passing on all of them for now. Maybe a few will come home with me another time. I am deeply into whites and pinks right now and maybe that's part of it. I don't know. Really (as always) enjoyed your comparisons and I agree about the pale magnetic. It's not a grabber to me. January seems to be when i lean towards a lot of blues. April and May I start to lean to pale tones.

Aw so glad you look forward to my videos!! Thank you so much for the support 🫶🏼 and it sadly depends, some thermals will die in the cold state but the same could die in the warm state for someone else. I’ve done a poll before and it was very 50/50 😅

I had no idea quicksand’s embrace was a holo magnetic. It’s sooo subtle, I would’ve honestly preferred if it was in a clear base to be a topper.

I don't think the Holo magnetics have a strong velvet effect just because of the size of the particle. The shifty magnetics have the same particle size but they are shifty so it's easier to tell. The particles are kind of just the same in every direction so it looks the same even when you're lining them all up. You might see it better in the sun since small holo pigments don't show up that well indoors anyway.

i can share that in my IG stories but wayy different! Wish I Hadn’t Cried So Much is more of a light, icy blue with a blue shimmer and a slightly more colorful mix of iridescent flakes!

Does anyone know if thermals ‘die’ into their cold state or warm? If Treachery in The Blue’s thermal effect stops working then I’d want it to stay in its cold state 😅 Anyone have any idea?

Sadly when I did a poll asking, the results were very mixed between dying in the cold, warm or even in between state 😵‍💫 so I feel the general rule of thumb is to make sure you like all the thermal transition colors just in case 😅
