Great review! Your objective measurements and non-biased reviews are a breath of fresh air in the tws review domain. After watching this and your melobuds pro review, I pulled the trigger on the melobuds pro due to a more diverse feature sets and most importantly ipx5 for gym usage. And since my use case will mostly be in a noise polluted outside environment, something vshaped is way more fun than a neutral tuning that gets drown out by background noise.

That's an incredible review. Subscribed! That graph explains why I find the Space Travel sound more pleasant, even if not as detailed. Now that my Moca are dead, don't update the firmware(!), I'm back to the Space Travel and that presence area is nicer and the bass "tighter". The Moca case does not fit the AZLA Standards tips.

thanks for the review! on my place the moca and buds FE have similar pricing and the earfun air pro 4 are a tad bit higher price, between these 3 what you recommend the most on non samsung phone? i dont really care about ANC and the mic quality, its a nice thing to have but im looking for a good budget tws that have that forward powerful vocal, not harsh trebble, and bass that not overwhelm the rest of the frequency. from your sound samples, the buds fe and moca are pretty great choices, the earfun air pro 4 also pretty interesting bcs of the LDAC, it follows the harman curve pretty well, and it has a lot of good features
@ReganCipher
@ReganCipher 22 күн бұрын
No worries! Unless you need multipoint, the Buds FE is a solid choice. The only problem is Samsung don't give you much in the way of customisation (although you could still use Wavelet to tweak the sound on your phone and any other Android devices you might have). The Moca sound great but lots of users have reported issues with random 'popping' sounds and other unrelated bugs. Mine were ok, but it would probably put me off recommending them until they're fully resolved. The Earfun are good all-rounders with lots of features you probably wouldn't be interested in! The LDAC support doesn't really make much difference unless you're listening to a lot of lossless content, and even then it's going to be hard to discern. The good thing about the Earfun is the amount of customisation you have, so if you're not happy with the sound there's an iOS and Android app to tweak it to your heart's content. And unlike their Air 3 Pro, I was able to tweak the EQ and open up the sound, giving it a slightly brighter and more open feel.

@@ReganCipher yeah, the moca problem and the unresponsive app is such a bummer even tho the stock tunning itself is already really good for the price. I've been using a lot of moondrop IEMs this past years and I think it's a good time to try another brand because from what i see this app problem aren't gonna be solved soon. Prob gonna choose either buds FE or the earfun one. thanks for the detailed reply! really appreciate it

Nice review as usual... i must decide if buy this or edifier tws1 pro 2... seems like moca is a good overall package, but maybe that one is good too? Kz carol can be a thing too but as far i've understand they are worse than those 2. What you counsil as a better overall package? (sound quality first, then anc, other features doesnt matter too much)
@ReganCipher
@ReganCipher Ай бұрын
Yeah the Carol are great for the money, but there's a few compromises so if you can spend a little more then it's worth doing it. I really like the Moca, but one thing I should warn you of is the amount of complaints I've seen since I did the review from other users who have had major issues since updating the firmware. Moondrop even took them off sale at their online store. So for now, I'd be hesitant to recommend them. I haven't tried the Edifier unfortunately but usually Edifier are pretty reliable, no probably more so than Moondrop whose products always sound good but lack a bit when it comes to functionality and stability

Nice review, seems like Moondrop has really stepped up their game this time. I will skip this though as I'm waiting for their upcoming $100 collab TWS. Oh also do you know of the Hifiman Svanar Wireless JR? Its price recently dropped to $70 on AliExpress and $80 on Amazon so I got one and it sounds incredible for the price. I have had the Liberty 3 Pro, Soundpeats Air4 Pro, Space A40, Earfun Air Pro 4, and Moondrop Space Travel, and the Svanar JR sweeps the floor with them sound wise.

@ReganCipher
@ReganCipher 7 күн бұрын
Melobuds Pro is probably the best combination of sound, ANC and features. The sound is pretty good, better after my EQ though! KZ Xtra has the strongest low frequency ANC but it's very fit dependent. Sound is pretty good, but there's no app support (although you can weirdly use the Earfun app to adjust the sound) Moca sound the best of the three, and have very good ANC, but I'm not convinced Moondrop have solved all the issues that people have been talking about on Reddit (mine are fine, but lots of complaints about popping sounds after firmware updates) I've reviewed all three of these models so I would say check the sound and ANC samples in each and see what you prefer.

@ReganCipher
@ReganCipher Ай бұрын
Engine4 is all about the bass with rolled off trebles, Air 2 NC is v-shaped with a punchier bass and bigger treble extension, Moca is more balanced with a leaner, even tighter bass and detailed, less rough treble. Depends on how you like your music to sound as to which is going to sound best but I slightly prefer the Moca & Engine4 over the Air 2 NC. In this and the Air 2 NC reviews I included Binaural samples so you can listen to them and decide what's best for you.

Very difficult one to say for certain. The Realme are slightly better overall, but probably not enough to justify the extra spend. The Realme is better on calls, so you need to work out whether that's worth the extra $20 to you or not. To get the best out of the QCY you might have to buy third party tips which adds to the cost though, so bear that in mind.
