Nice job Del, i have an old Givi top box with a cracked lid that I bodge repaired about 30 years ago. You have given me an idea to revisit and make it look presentable enough to use. Cheers! 👍

LOL When I saw the title of this video I thought now I will finally know how to pronounce Givi after owning a set of their panniers for years. If anyone knows the right pronunciation it's got to be Del. Now I know the truth....NOBODY knows how to pronounce Givi. 😁😄🤣😂😆 Great tips on gently removing the top box lid. Many thanks Del and Penny. Peace and good health to you both. ❤👍👍

Well i can help if you like.. i made the reference to there being difference of opinion on it becasue it's pronounced both ways depending on who you speak to... But if you want to be purist about it.. The company is Italian, and in Italy it's pronounced "Jeevy"... so now you know..! Have a peaceful and happy Sunday.. take care and stay safe...D&Pxx

I feel personally ATTACKED!! I just LOVE telling people how to pronounce things!!.... But on second thought, your statement that this is why people don't like me may in fact be a game changer for me... Right here, mid-comment.... right now... I VOW to never tell anyone how to pronounce product words again!!... HARK!! a ribbon of pure light has even now shined upon my keyboard as I pledged my troth to more genteel speech!.... Oh yeah, those drill bits with hex bit holder drive adapters around the bit shank would work great for this, and save you some tape, if you got 'em. You could screw a little grub screw into the end that you drilled, if you so chose to do so on your GIVE-EY Top box ( Not Jivv-ey).... Hark! My ray of sunlight turned to darkness!! Oh well.... Enjoy the weekend, D&P!

Good to catch up on your vids finally, and I'll echo what others have said about the continued increase in quality of video work, both in the filming and editing....nice work!! Great tip on the top-box lid removal, and I gotta say that the work done to the Intruder sure prettied her up, tho I will say that it was weird to see parts going back together without the normal complete refurbishment! Hope winter is treating you well....Best to you both!

Reminds me of the video you did on the bandit Del and the upgrade to the rear brake calliper. By drilling through the rear of the casting to drift out the (usually) siezed brake pad pins. An upgrade, I believe you said, and a mod I copied myself that made future servicing a lot easier. Another great tutorial in the bag (sorry, I couldn't resist 😅) All the best, Del and Penny x

Did something almost identical few years back when I painted the top box for the Pan Euro. I covered the little drilled hole with some JB weld and prepped it. When the pin was replaced after painting, the hole was also gone 😊
@Moonfleet41 Жыл бұрын
Exactly that mate, it's great when you have a need to paint the box, you can just fill in the hole and make it invisible, but even a little clear silicone would at least keep the moisture out! Have a great weekend and thank you for your support as always.
