Big plastic doorknobs.....LOL !!! Very funny description but quite accurate. Those Tec parts are really impressive. It's nice that they have the adapter plugs to avoid having to cut up the factory wiring. It just seems wrong to have to do that on such a pristine bike. That Scrambler is some serious eye candy. Many thanks to you and Penny for always putting out such entertaining videos, no matter what you guys have in the shop. Cheers and blessings to you both. ❤👍👍

Looking good! I really like both that headlight bracket, as well as the triple trees. So THAT's what weight savings look like! That's a tough idea to comprehend for a Harley pilot! :) I also like the built-in adjustability of the bar clamps. It doesn't cost a thing to make a change. Some makers would "accidentally" choose not to do something similar, just to sell you an "upgrade kit". Kudos to Triumph.

Thanks Allen, I thought you might appreciate a bike like this, given the terrain where you live, hope it's not too cold yet, I imagine the snow's on the way, so I guess you guys are having a pick up round the yard this time of year as any tools and stuff left out, you won't see it till March!!! Love the channel! As a Speed Twin owner, I've found it very helpful and entertaining. Those indicators are indeed a great upgrade over the offensively large dinky looking originals! Would there be any way to mount them without the mounting converter? I.e. thread the cable through a nut on the back and tighten it up like a one hole setup? Looking to replace the long and narrow LEDs on my bike with something round and classic looking. Cheers
@Moonfleet412 жыл бұрын
Yes Paul.. Not sure if the Speed Twin is the same front end..but you can use the regular "wire through the nut" method.. but that leaves an empty hole (as long as you're ok with that), also the indicator threaded shaft is 10mm, and the hole in your Triumph mount is 8mm, (at least mine was) so you'd just need to carefully run a 10mm drill through the bracket to open it out..! also, make sure that mounting this way doesn't leave them too close to each other.. can't be sure from memory, but i think they need to be 9" apart !
@paulgevers73942 жыл бұрын
@@Moonfleet41 Thank you very much for your feedback - that helps a lot! I've found a pair of small bullet shaped indicators with M8 bolts, so mounting through the single hole should then work. And I'm in South Africa so I might be able to sidestep the 9" apart requirement. Thanks!

It great that a manufacturer offers h/bar adjustment. Of course its a matter of individual choice but in my experience riders may "think" they want the bars lower & further forward but in reality need them higher & closer for more precise counter steering control. I've certainly adjusted plenty of Triumph bars that way, and added aftermarket risers as well. Its why there so many bar risers available from Rox, SW Motech, Helibars etc for other makes & models. The other adjustment always worth investigating is rotating the levers & switch gear for better ergonomics.
@neillambton40652 жыл бұрын
I think you may be able to do the handle bar repositioning on the Speed Triple. I know they asked whether i wanted to risers turned round when i bought mine, but not sure about the lowering, i`l have to check on that. Cheers Del.

Smaller indicators are a matter of taste. Great job. Ergonomics (most important point on a bike) improved for free. I turned my old Transalp 600's handlebar just a bit and it turned out to be a gamechanger. Just half an inch made a big deal. Though I needed a higher position for standing on the pegs offroad riding. Thanks for showing and reminding us to fine-tune the works ergonomics to our taste. Günter/Nürnberg

They're universal Geoff, so you just need a bracket to mount them on, if yours mount to the mirror brackets on the handlebars, it would simply be no more than a small L-shaped bracket to mount them through... I left a link to them in the description, perhaps give them a try!

Somethings been bothering me with this series. From some pictures looks like there is a big dent in the front of the tank. Is this standard or the result of an unfortunate meeting with the fork? I assumed it was a dent but the paint doesn’t look damaged.
@Moonfleet412 жыл бұрын
Yes David it's a 'dent', there's an identical one the other side, they are a relief designed in to the tank to allow the fork movement, so effectively not a dent, just designed that way!

Simple enough process. Do those spacers double as vibration dampers? They look like they are somewhat pliable from the video. Thanks have a great weekend.
@Moonfleet412 жыл бұрын
It is simple indeed, truly "plug n play" which makes it easy for anyone to fit without cutting into things and making the changes permanent ! The spacers are pretty much essential in this case, not just to utilize both holes so it looks right, but also to space the indicators far enough apart.. Have a great weekend too buddy, and thank you for your support as always.

Hey Renzo, good to hear from you! Yes, this is not a Triumph thing, any bar with single bolt bar risers that are offset towards the rider, can be rotated to be offset forwards... should usually give you at least 3/4" extra reach should you need it! The spacers aren't common, but turning the risers is certainly an old trick... Hope you're both keeping safe and well there, and we hope it's not too cold there yet in New York! D&Px
