This was such a refreshing song to hear back in 1992. I’d just lost my mother and was still in a sad slump. One day my best friend came over to my house and said he had just the right song to lift my spirits and honor my beloved mother. I waved him off. That is until he played the song. I instantly lifted my head looking straight at him and exclaimed: “Wow Sam! Who is that!” That Latin favored beat got my attention immediately! He said the song has just been released. It did the trick! I looked at my mom’s picture and said: “Mama, John’s going to be alright now!” - l think of my mother every time l hear “Just Another Day”! -- WOW! THE POWER OF MUSIC!!!!!!🎶

How many times I listened to that song with a broken heart. In 1992 ... i was 17 years old and broke up with my boyfriend of 2 years. He thought the grass was greener on the other side of the fence and made a jump for it. I was totally devastated and I listened to that song a lot to take out all the tears of anger, despair and sadness out of my system. I knew he would try to come back ... but it was final for me. I got married ... but NOT with him. I found a TRUE man 23 years ago and we've been happy together. A man that loves me for who I am and accepts me the way I am ... even with my flaws and failures. A man that TRULY loves me. Married for 13 years already . Time passes by so fast. What happened to the guy that broke my heart ?
