Honesty i feel like this is ridiculous especially when there is YT kids and the fact that their worried about a bunch of children seeing bad stuff on here is sad because that just shows how much kids are on YT now, not talking about 8-10 year olds rather 1-5 year olds.. Thats crazy and YT wasn't ever "meant" for really young kids any ways so thats upsetting and makes me want to scream because of how much parents let 1 year olds on YT. Well, considering COPPA has been around for a good while, KZbin really doesn't have much of choice to enforce it. KZbin in itself could be shut down if they do not follow the guidelines of COPPA.

They're doing it for a very good reason actually, it's youtube/google that goes all wrong about it. Basically youtube collects data from kids to market towards them and make $$$ but that's illegal, so COPPA told them to keep the kids safe but instead they just implemented a loose rule about 'kids content' that could mess things up without ever really fixing the true problem: google going after all that $$$ Don't worry about it too much, though!

There’s also something really important that KZbin did dealing with Coppa! Nothing bad, it’s really good! If you’re able to use the KZbin beta upload, there is an option where you can say if your content is targeted towards kids or not! Which is honestly a lifesaver when this was at its peak. (You’re also able to say its for ages 18+ if that’s necessary)

Honestly I think KZbin should put down the general audience option like what COPPA recognized because these rules from KZbin are pretty vague. I'm sure they have and I hope they fix it by then end of this month cause otherwise they are shooting themselves in the foot big time since this is a federal law. Also, you'll have no comments, recommendations for your videos, a community tab, etc. if you put your channel on "For kids". Warrior Cats is 100% intended for audiences 13+ anyways with the themes it portrays and how dark the books can be. Somebody 13- could read the books but they wouldn’t really understand them. I remember reading Warriors when I was 11 and not getting a single plot point besides “woah this kitty is bad.” I completely agree and don’t think our fandom has a thing to worry about! I have a small but growing fairly quickly KZbin channel right now that I’ve been doing for roughly three years now, since I don’t make money off of my videos the rules of COPPA aren’t as daunting to me, but I still consider my channel to be a family friendly one, and as I am now starting to post about more than just warrior cats (Dragon Prince, to be precise) and have MAP parts up on my channel I am somewhat nervous, but it’s good to see someone else who isn’t super worried

theres definitely reason for some people to worry, but ultimately its going to be larger scale youtubers (my theory is gamers) who struggle the most with this. its probably a good idea to read up on this more, but ultimately, youre right. this is another big youtube scare. while things can go wrong, they most likely will not. many people are just preparing for the worst (which is okay; that helps keep people safe, but unfortunately spreads a lot of panic)

I can understand a good chunk of what you mean, my only concern about is despite that would COPPA themselves consider Warriors for kids = Kids only or would it be more like a movie situation where the book is for kids (from most of the time that I see) but the product itself is not. Moonkitti: for some reason I don't think cats killing each other fall into that category me: I agree with you also cats killing each other it's..... sadly and depression whenever Maple Shade came out I was all in tears when her kids died and I wanted to kill Apple dust so bad because one he explained how he didn't love her and her kids and he already moved on with another wife while he watched as the old kids died # Apple dust is a terrible father but at the same time you can't really save kids when they're already did but they might have still had a little breath before dying so he still could have saved them before they died but in the the story in Maple Shade they literally smack out died when the wave hit them so there was literally no way to save them at the same time I put us could have shown it some father love at least trying to save them not watch as I die that was just Smackdown rude I know you can't save someone when they're already dead but you could have at least tried to save someone who's already dead like heal them or something also the leader that Maple Shade was following I think it was ThunderClan or was that riverclan I got no idea what she claims she was in but we're just going to say she was in ThunderClan her leader is rude she sending her out right when the day of flood day so he knew what those kids were going to die cuz they had no chance of survival also he also/she also knew that the kids and her could not go to a human's house since they are not allowed also knew that the kids and her could not go to a human's house since they are not allowed there so he/she new that the only way they could stay in a home is in riverclan but he/she also new that the kids couldn't swim cuz they were still young so he pretty much planned everything this was a successful hoping this will never happen to another warrior cat again plan also mapleshade's Revenge now she has 100% reasons why she should kill all of them but at the same time she thought her kids wanted her to kill them but her kids were trying to warn her not to kill but the warning mom mom help me saying kind of drove her to the thing where she thought she saying kind of drove her to the thing where she thought she wanted saying kind of drove her to the thing where she thought they wanted to kill someone and she already knew everyone to kill killing your best friend with the snake although your best friend betrayed you after you needed backup to try to explain how these kids we're too young to swim and try to at least keep her in the clan for reasons but not helping her is kind of a horrible friend at the same time you're kind of being the horrible friend of you kill her your best friend although she definitely betrayed your back by backstabbing it but she only backstabbed you you killed her by with real backstabbed by using a snake although she had reasons to kill them a best friend wouldn't just send you and your kids out to die in a river also why didn't the god of Warrior Cats try to at least give her a warning this would happen to Maple Shade and her friend but no the god of Warrior Cats wanted to warn the leader who was going to use that plan to kill her instead of saving her so great job Warrior Cats of God's you completely just killed her kids but backfired not killed her although if Maple Shade did die with her kids it kind of would have been blamed on the leader her death would have been blamed on the leader because the leader sending her out after all the backstabs instead of trying to save her like a great leader would do!!!
