"Moonlight Serenade" by Glenn Miller Orchestra

My dream was to see the Glenn Miller Orchestra. It finally came true. Beautiful song from an orchestra who has been keeping up Glenn's tradition for decades.

Just listened to the original, and while I like this recording, it just doesn't measure up to the real Glenn Miller.

@@tkhighbridge5456 I have seen covers of many old tunes that sound better than the original. I do like this version by the current GM Orchestra but it just falls short of the original. Glad, as you are, that this music is still alive and performed.

someone in the reed section is noticeably out of tune and how about a trip to the barber for the 3rd alto? Glenn would not be happy

The pleasant new leader just took over. Give him a break. I think he's got some mellow personality like young Glenn must have had. When he can get around to it, they need to move that sickning Lombardo-esque vibrato parked in GM's reed section. It's been there for 10 years. Listen to Jan Slottenas' Miller band.
