Lore explanation to those who dont know, the three moon sisters are Aria, Sonnet (Sonata in non EN localization)** , and Canon. *Fun fact* : Aria is probably who's singing in the intro screen music when you boot up the game during night time (because 'Aria' in musical technical terms is regarded as a solo piece, and the name of the song is "Dream Aria" [side eyeing the fact that dream aria only comes during the night time version of the intro screen, which ties in to the fact that she disappears during the time of day after meeting with the morning star]) The "cataclysm" they speak of in this video predates the archon war, and is the same one that destroyed the Seelie race - which is why we only see wisps of their remnants in teyvat. It is heavily implied that this "Cataclysm" is the same one where the Dragon King Nibelung had his war of vengeance against the Heavenly Principles *Another fun fact* : Their Carriage falling from the sky was the thing that created The Chasm and Dunyu Ruins ingame now. and Nilotpala lotuses (tighnari's**** ascension mat) is related to the 3 moon sisters, because they only bloom during the night time - relating to the goddess of flowers (but that's whole other can of worms that branches off to sooo many lore and theories) the ongoing theories is that one moon sister's corpse is the one we see in the overworld, the other corpse is the moon we see in the spiral abyss, and the other is unclear, but could be the blood moon that khaenri'ah had (has? we dont know). Their death is presumed to also be the reason why there are *no moon phases* in teyvat ** - edits

Isnt Nilou's ascension mat the Padisarahs since the original one was created by the Goddess of Flowers, which later went extinct after her death. Though the Niloupala Lotuses do have a connection to them.

The name "Sonnet" is a localization error. In CN, the sisters are named Àilìyà (Aria), Sāngnàdá (Sonata) & Kǎnóng (Canon). The sisters are named for types of musical composition. These names for the Moon Sisters can be found in the in-game book, "Heart's Desire". Further lore on these sisters can be found in the books/descriptions of: Moonlit Bamboo Forest (the in-game book this animation adapts); Records of Jueyun (in-game book); the Moonpiercer craftable polearm; Nilotpala Lotus; the circlet piece of the Flower of Paradise Lost set. Lore on the solar chariot can additionally be found in the Vermillion Hereafter set's flower, texts related to the Chasm & those related to Enkanomiya. Stories about the Moon Sisters, solar charioteer/s, the seelie kingdom (& the calamity that befell them) exist in every region of Teyvat. Each region has its own interpretations of what may have happened, as altered by time and fictionalization, and no objectively true account yet exists. Wow no wonder this reminded me so much of Studio Ghibli’s work, it was created by three of Oscar Winning animators who have worked for Studio Ghibli. This was amazing! They did a fantastic job and really show cased just how talented they are! Loved this some much. Also I know a lot of people think the Morning Star looks like Zhongli, but to me, it looks like an adult Aether. Aether’s design mirrors that of the morning star, while Lumine represents the moon. I don’t think that is a coincidence at all.

@@binaykumarnayak2227 Aether and Lumine has always been a bit sus. Because Aether is probably based on the primordial god Aether in Greek mythology, god of the upper sky and light. And that god had a twin sister who he married, Hemera, who represented daylight Not to mention, in Greek mythology, the personification of the Sun, Helios, and the personification of the moon, Selene, were also siblings, they both also rode sun and moon chariots. I know this is just Greek myths, but mihoyo has always taken massive inspiration from this, so it is food for thoughts. And every MC has been based on Greek myths, Aether Caelus Kiana and Phaethon.
