This is so interesting. Movie production looks like reverse engineering to me, you have this end goal of what you WANT this thing to look like. How to tell your story, convey the message, get the audience to feel what you want them to feel. And then work backwards, working out the details as you go. I could be way off base from actual trained film makers but that's the vibe I got from this video

I.M.H.O, it's a blessing & a curse to know exactly how a film will look & feel, but have no idea how to manifest it. But these guys are professionals & I'm some podunk from nowhere land 😂

Ironically, Audrey is the name of one my Main Characters in my movie, but she's adult. My movie also has a horror element, but that's not the entire plot. Your daughter Audrey is such a sweetheart, I bet she was a great little actresses!

That's so interesting. I've always wanted to know what are the profession names we see on the end credits, like what is their role. And I totally relate to the "oh, I never thought about that, and now it's 4 am and I have a 9 hour length story about it 'cause someone asked me a question"

We were planning to, but the problem is, the actors we hired were so professional, that we got almost no silly outtakes!

Yay thank you for behind the scenes!! I don't know what the standard is, but this seems pretty involved for an indie short film! Also so glad you decided to go with the prop eyelights instead of digital, I think it was far more effective than digital effects would have been!!

0:50 ME OH MY GOD THIS 6:35 I think this is the only part I was a bit "what" at cuz initially I didnt notice but now knowing about the eye props i see them shake unrealistically

Appreciating the comment while also ogling what keyboard you use as someone who's currently down a mech keyboard hole 😂👍 As a Film student though this scratches all the right itches on my brain watching pre-production 😂 directing has never been a route I wanted to go down however production and producing is right up my alley lol

Sometimes I compare reactions of white women, and i don't see the same accusations of being angry, when they even display abusive and offensive behavior against others. Well, that's just me tho...
