Hey filmmaker friend, thanks for sharing. It’s pretty usual information. Anytime I create a proposal, I also try to add all other estimated fees for anything to do with the commercial. That way the client sees why the total cost for every aspect of the job.

Saying Producers pick their DPs is a deception. That's what we think they do, But the reality is.. they pick a director who gets to choose a DP they wanna work with. More often than not Directors don't wanna work with a random DP they never met because the producer hired a cheap person who couldn't do what was needed. Do you agree?
