I do as well. I think Judge Perkins should have just issued a bench warrant for failure to appear and let the guy beg to be recognized. I think Perkins overreaches a lot. The public defender was protecting the prosecution in this matter and I think he should have taken a different approach. I have never heard a judge say they had the discretion to ignore an interlocutory appeal. It just seems imprudent.

@@chadbishop-srI honestly don't think Perkins knows what the hell he's doing half the time he's up there! There used to be curly haired black judge you'd see quite a bit on these channels. . . His clerk basically ran his courtroom for him, and him as well. . . anyway, I always considered him the most incompetent judge on YT. Now with him no longer being shown, this judge wins that title hands down, imo.

@@wallyman292You’re speaking of Judge Marable and his clerk, Katrina. I respect Judge Perkins. As for Judge Marable, I respect his office and the court. He would have no problem allowing defendants to scream at him and show him such disrespect without charging any of them with contempt, yet more than once pick a verbal fight with those who came before him speaking with nothing but respect. Sometimes they’d be unfamiliar with the court system, but they’d still show respect. Having a plaintiff in a frivolous lawsuit, on Zoom, demand to know of the judge, “Are we done here?”, multiple times with increasing volume and attitude, and him not addressing her contemptuous behavior or even bothering to admonish her was deplorable. I should add, though, that if I had to appear before Judge Marable or any judge like him, I would still treat that person with the utmost respect 1) because he or she is a person, 2) because the judge is an adult (although I personally don’t feel that a child should be spoken to in the manner that the plaintiff spoke), 3) because I respect his or her position as a representative of the American judicial system, and 4) because I don’t want to go to jail for behaving inappropriately or disrespectfully in court.

Prosecutor is right, the person charged is not there, Judge needs to issue bench warrant for his appearance. One of the most arrogant and ignorant defendents I've seen.

I disagree and its a huge waste of public resources. The guy accepts his identity and the judge idd him. A bench warrant is a huge pain for all involved and is overkill for such a trivial matter. Better to get this resolved quickly since hes unlikely to pay the fine anyway.

@probablynotmyname8521
@probablynotmyname8521 Жыл бұрын
@@HappyBuddhaBoyd what a silly comment, if you want to have a discussion then at least read what i said. Also your point is defeated by the defendant not actually claiming that hes the wrong person, hes trying to make a different point about jurisdiction. If i was in court and it appeared that the charge was for another person i would tell the judge that and provide evidence as to why. For example identification showing that im not the person named or that i have been wrongly served or that i wasnt driving the car the police said i was driving. Misidentifications happen all the time and they are easily cleared up but id encourage you to listen to what the defendant actually said.

That's because he's creating issues on appeal by not holding their feet to the fire about their identity. He's allowing them to not acknowledge they are the defendant by using a different name than forcing the prosecutor to go forward against someone the record isn't clear is the actual person being charged. That's a problem.

These judge need to do the following with sov citizens: 1. Make a record that no one by the name of the defendant is in the courtroom (because they don’t identify by their legal names) 2.
