Those who oppose the Death Penalty argue that Life Sentences allow us to study the reasoning of these perpetrators so that we might prevent similar crimes. At over 50 years incarceration of Brady and Hindley what did we learn from them? Hindley only even admitted involvement after decades of incarceration when she realised there was never going to be a release date for her. She even tried to blame her brother-in-law as somehow involved. it was he who went to the Police. and the whole affair unravelled. Brady kept shtum at all times.

Just read about the father of a girl murdered in the south of England regarding punishment. He stated lock murderers (his daughter’s murderer) up for 25 years (a lengthy time) then, yes then after 25 years, execute them. Image being told that on a date for example 25 in the future you would be executed? Yes, the cost of keeping them in prison is high but a bread and water diet will suffice. Not ideal but...

GB News apologising for sloppy police work. Probably why I don't watch these two on a regular basis. The police put in more hours than this individual and came up with nothing. Allowing themselves to be distracted by a psychopath shows their desperation. Smacks of a similar problem with the tape in the Yorkshire Ripper case. This is probably an indication of how crime clear up rates have been declining for some time with our police. On a similar note, someone has their bike stolen - police not interested. That someone undertakes their own investigation, finds bike police still not interested. Conversely if that someone then posted something on social media about the thief the police would arrest that 'someone ' for hate speech or check his or her thinking. Lost faith.
