Dang, they are such big animals. Congrats on another great bull! Really appreciate you packing the extra gear to be able to share with us. It’s always fun to see the impact shot but when adrenaline starts flowing and it’s time to get an animal on the ground what you showed is way more than I’d be able to. Awesome to see everyone in the group so excited and helping with the work. A great team like that really makes for a good trip. Can’t wait to see the rest and finally moose horns in the boat!!

Hi Karl, Thank you for the kind words. We did have a great group of guys that were always more than willing to work, that was really nice. That moose wasn't going to stick around for long, it was a now or never kind of moment, it would have been nice to been able to call him to the beach and watch Mike shoot him, but that bull had other ideas. He was spooked from camp being so close and I think he heard the jet boat after we were dropped off. It was a great trip and YES, finally moose antlers in the boat. Thanks again for always watching Karl and the comments, it s greatly appreciated my friend. I hope you are having a great hunting season, thanks again and be safe.

Do those match bullets hold together going through a shoulder or turn it all to blood shot jelly? Thanks
@bcextremeoutdoorsman
@bcextremeoutdoorsman 2 ай бұрын
Hi Ryan, they hold together pretty well and I haven't seen any more meat damage than any other bullet would cause. Last year I even recovered two bullets from the same moose. One was a nice mushroom with lead still intact, the other was just the jacket with a little lead still intact. I like how they perform. I hope this answers your question. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment, take care and I hope you are having good luck this season, take care.

He wasn't in the trees he was behind the trees that were about 30-50 yards in front of him and obscuring me to get a clear shot.

Nothing that fast you gotta know what you’re shooting at before you shoot Where is the head?
@bcextremeoutdoorsman
@bcextremeoutdoorsman 2 ай бұрын
Hi George, I knew exactly what I was shooting at and where my bullets were going. The two weekends in a row prior, I had shot around 500 rounds in two different prs matches. You have to be fast, accurate and consistent or that bull would have been gone. I practice while a lot of hunters don’t. He wasn’t sticking around. But thanks for your concern and thanks for watching and the comment, take care.

@@georgemurphy9910 We walked up to the moose. The head is in the videos, and I did a video of me doing a European mount with it. Right now the head is in my basement going through the whitening process.

It is easy to see a set up not impressed didn't look at his horns.

Hi Wayne, that was not a set up sorry to disappoint you. I didn't even have my pack off and we spotted the bull and he was running away from our camp and wasn't going to hang around for long. I seen his horns, but I didn't judge them. There was trees in front of him and I had to wait for him to move before I shot him. I just knew I was going to take him as my tag is for any bull and it was new area to us. I knew I should have explained things better, but we were in a hurry to find him and get him taken care of before dark. I hope this clarifies things, thanks for watching and the comment, take care.
