I came here after binge watching The Last Alaskans. If they eat the moose, then fine. In fact, every pound of wild meat eaten reduces demand for industrially raised and slaughtered protein. From that perspective, the hunters are more humane and more environmentally sound consumers than those of us who go get beef or chicken at the grocery store or eat out at a restaurant.

I am hunting myself andf I completly understand the joy of geting your "prey" after all that effort and time put into it - it is NOT easy (for the ones that think a rifle and a scope does all the wonders...). It is however about how we express that joy in a respectfull manner towards the fallen animal and towards the hunt in itself. Rock'n roll and high fives are - in my view - trivialising the hunting and makes us all look bad in the (already agrevated) eyes of anti-hunting groups.
