my grandfather lived alone in eagle, alaska for 20 years as a trapper. he was more scared of moose in mating season than bears, wolves, and panthers. said the best thing to do was try and put a tree or large stone between you and the moose.

In Boy Scouts we ate poison ivy because a native guy showed us it was safe. We all wiped it on a spot on our arm the next day and only one of us got a rash and it was minimal. So that happens apparently.

From Canada, can say Moose are scary asf all the time. Hit one in a medium/small sized vehicle you're dead. Catch an angry mother on a trail most likely dead. I'd rather a Grizzly, yeah it will really suck but a Griz will back off, Moose don't.

There is a video going around facebook in Canada right now of a Lynx taking down a mule deer by itself about 2 hours from where i live. Oh i would fully expect a cougar could take down a deer. They at least weigh 100kg (220lbs).. A canadian lynx is like 8kg (17.6lbs).. the deer was probably 50-80kg(110-176lbs) lol

No way in hell hunter/gatherer Humans wiped out the North American Megafauna. Younger Dryas Impact Hypothesis makes the most sense to me. Massive comet impact in the Canadian ice sheet and wiped out most of the Megafauna. Hell, a ton of the Mammoths that are excavated have shattered knees and there's fields of them like this, leads me to believe they got knocked down by the supposed blast.
