Moots has been around forever. So happy to see they’re still thriving.

Looking at the geometry (not a long front), with a normal diameter down-tube, I bet the ride is smooth and steers well. Thanks for video. Have a good New Year full of great rides ☮

Happy New Year! Nice build overall, that Moots frame deserves all the blingy bits like the Paul Components brakes. I built up my old '98 Barracuda XC URT frame into a softtail gravel bike using a rigid steel fork. I am running a set of Paul Components Cross Stop 3's front and rear on it. I bought them in 1997 and they're actuated using old Dia-compe brake levers from an '86 Jamis. One day I hope to buy a set of Paul brake levers for it. For now, I am currently looking for a late 80's or early 90's mtb to build up as a single speed.

Love the bike. I wanted to share that I had those xtr cranks, on two bikes, and broke them both on the non-drive side. They cracked along the seam -tiny seam you can see on the inside of the crank arm where it is bonded there. I had very close mileage as you so want you to be warned, those xtrs probably won’t last forever. You’re in the breakage window…aging aluminum bonding there. If you had thoughts of replacing them you should go for it. I replaced mine with xtr’s again lol. Newer direct mount though.

Thanks for the heads up. I’ve heard that about r8000 cranks but didn’t know these were a part of the recall.

Fun-ness! I found that on the GDMBR last year, my Moots Mooto x-Ybb got a little front end wonky with too much weight out forward (cradle w/dry bag and revelate pouch), plus water btls low on forks.

You might consider a Cane Creek ViscoSet top headset. It's an adjustable steering damper that could help with the basket mounted. I run them on my bikepacking bikes and love them!

I really appreciate your efforts! I have a quick question: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). What's the best way to send them to Binance?

How much does a bicycle weigh have in this setup?

if you have bike like this you don't look at the weight its all about comfort and ride in the wild nature

3:48 you didn't cut through the bars, the stem was torqued too tight

Thanks for the comment. Can’t believe you’re able to tell torque specs just by looking at video, impressive!

A beautiful bicycle. See if you can wear it out, I predict you fail. Never sell it. A Ti frame is a lifetime investment.

Does the rear spring thingey need much maintenance??
@jjjjustin5 сағат бұрын
Moots calls it a YBB. And no, almost no maintenance required.
